Nametag Blank Large LED
A USB-C powered LED nametag blank: a 160 × 48 mm, 2-layer, 1.6 mm FR4 carrier holding six side-firing OSRAM white LEDs, designed to drop onto an Adom workcell via four large and two medium machine pins.
Part of the RAPID NAME TAGS family. Designed in Fusion 360 Electronics.
Board at a glance
| Outline | 160 × 48 mm |
| Stackup | 2 layer, 1.6 mm FR4, 35 µm (1 oz) copper both sides |
| Input | USB-C receptacle (GCT USB4135-GF-A), 5.1 kΩ CC pulldowns |
| Emitters | 6 × OSRAM LW A6SG-V2BA-FK0PN0, 100 Ω series each |
| Mounting | 4 × large standard machine pins (MP1-MP4) at the corners, 3.6 mm plated holes |
| Source | Fusion 360 Electronics (EAGLE) |
Circuit
USB-C supplies the board. R1 and R2 (5.1 kΩ) are the CC pulldowns that make
the receptacle present as a sink to a Type-C source. The six LEDs sit on a
25.6 mm pitch across the top edge (x = 16, 41.6, 67.2, 92.8, 118.4, 144 mm),
each fed through its own 100 Ω series resistor.
The four corner machine pins are the mechanical and electrical interface to the
workcell; MP1 at the origin is the front-left anchor the 3D model is keyed to.
Machine pin hole size. This revision places MACH_PIN_LRG_STD from the Adom master
library, which drills 3.6 mm against the 5.2 mm annular pad. The pin body is 3.6 mm, so
that is a line-to-line fit, not the 0.15 mm interference press-fit the
MachinePinLargeStandard page documents
(3.45 mm drill). Solder the annular ring; do not expect the hole alone to retain the pin.
Bill of materials
Every line resolves to a component page on the wiki, and each of those footprints carries the
Adom solder-ball layer (User.9 / Adom.SolderBalls). The same list is the page's
dependencies, so it renders as this molecule's parts graph.

3D model provenance
Converted with step2glb molecule mode (OCCT), which anchored the model to the
machine-pin markers rather than the STEP's own origin:

fl_marker : MACH_PIN_LRG_STD:MP1
molecule_up_axis : z
pin_size : large (read from the marker names)

Known gap: no footprint / symbol JSON
This page is a molecule but still ships without _footprint.json / _symbol.json, so the
board has no wire attach points in Hydrogen yet. The molecule metadata service answers this
board's .brd with HTTP 500 "No machine pins found; cannot establish origin", and it does the
same for the already-published bq25792-charger board, so the fault is in the service's EAGLE
importer, not in this file. Re-checked on 21 September 2026 against this revision: the rename to
MACH_PIN_LRG_STD did not help, because the importer's large-pin drill buckets have no entry at
all (Ray's root cause on the issue). Tracked at
adom/adom-step2glb#8.
The board STEP carries valid MP1-MP4 markers and converts to a correctly anchored model
(fl_marker MACH_PIN_LRG_STD:MP1, pin_size large), so the footprint and symbol can be
regenerated as soon as the importer ships.
Source freshness
Every file under src/ was exported from Fusion on 21 September 2026 from cloud document
version 40, schematic included (23 schematic parts, 19 placed components).
One naming quirk in the Adom master library is worth knowing when reading the schematic: the
deviceset PIN_LARGE_INSTAPCB has its device names crossed. Device MPIN_LRG_SHORT maps to
package MACH_PIN_LRG_STD, and device MPIN_LRG_STD maps to MACH_PIN_LRG_SHORT. This board's
pins are placed as device MPIN_LRG_SHORT, which is why the schematic says SHORT while the
board package and the 3D body (MachinePin_Large_Standard_Gold) are the Standard pin. The
package and body are what get built, so the BOM above lists the Standard pin.
