kicad-export-molecule

Install?

Ship a KiCad molecule to the Adom wiki: local KiCad STEP, board, schematic and fabrication export (<slug>-fab.zip, export.json) through the Adom Bridge, handoff to molecule-publish (the wiki's model registry builds the GLB, footprint and symbol from the sources), and import of the built molecule into Hydrogen with adom-wiki model import.

adom-wiki pkg install adom/kicad-export-molecule

kicad-export-molecule

Every molecule export includes <slug>-fab.zip (both sides' fabrication layers and drill) and export.json (producer versions and source hashes). The exporter hands them, with the STEP, board and schematic, to molecule-publish. The wiki's 3D model registry builds the molecule's GLB, footprint and symbol from those sources; nothing generated is pushed. See SKILL.md for the tool-specific steps.

Agent skill: ship a molecule from the user's local KiCad to the Adom wiki and into their Hydrogen account, in three stages:

  1. Export: KiCad 10 kicad-cli pcb export step --subst-models --force, Gerbers and split drill files on the laptop, run through the Adom Bridge (3D models only resolve there); pulled to the container, where molecule-publish's fab_bundle.py packs <slug>-fab.zip and export.json and its pin_names.py checks the machine-pin and contact names.
  2. Publish: handoff to molecule-publish, which publishes the sources (STEP, .kicad_pcb, schematic, project, fab zip, record) and waits for the registry's build of the GLB, footprint and symbol.
  3. Import: after a passed build, adom-wiki model import <owner>/<slug> registers the built molecule in Hydrogen and prints its link.

The skill is gate-driven: preflight checks (adom-wiki 1.8.0 or newer, molecule-publish 3.0.0, bridge up, KiCad 10, MP1 to MP4 machine pins, locally resolving 3D models) and the registry's own pin-name rule stop a degraded export before it reaches the wiki.

Install

adom-wiki pkg install adom/kicad-export-molecule

Pulls adom/molecule-publish and adom/adom-bridge as dependencies. The Hydrogen import runs on adom-wiki itself (1.8.0 or newer).
