Astra ESC with repaired 3D models

Verified native KiCad 3D view

Download the board and custom models together. Extract together and open esc-g431-astra-models.kicad_pcb with KiCad 10 and its standard 3D libraries installed. Custom models use ${KIPRJMOD}/models/.

Native model check: 149 footprints, 128 with models, 21 bare test pads requiring no model, zero unresolved files, zero warnings. The updated copy was checked and rendered on AdomLapper in KiCad 10.0.5. The screenshot preserves the user's visibility settings, which currently hide through-hole model bodies. The original delivered board is preserved; this copy changes only model references and transforms. Parsed comparison confirms all non-model board data is identical, including copper, pads and placement.

The machine contacts/pins, driver and switch reuse existing wiki models. The TPSM module, Infineon package and HoLR shunt now use independently generated nominal geometry from dimensional drawings, with comparison evidence on their reusable component pages. Source CAD was used privately as a reference, not imported by those generators. The complete jumper assembly remains source-derived; no source-board placement or routing was imported. The jumper assembly remains project-local because its independent component specification is unresolved. Redundant legacy alternatives and duplicate jumper model instances were replaced with one complete source assembly.

U2 uses an independently generated nominal TI RDN0011A body, not vendor CAD: 3.5 × 4.5 × 2.0 mm. It is a simplified package visualization, not a maximum clearance envelope. File-resolution success and rendered coverage do not certify every model's manufacturing accuracy. See model provenance, repair manifest and native check.

Catalog scope correction

Of the 18 pages initially created, 16 describe reusable manufacturer parts. The two ESC-specific catalog groups were soft-retired, with their CAD retained under project-local definitions. Board references and unresolved features belong in this project, not global component placeholders.

Component quality and provenance

All 40 component pages and their model previews. The corrected TPSM now measures 3.5 mm overall width; the previous 3.9 mm terminal overhang was wrong. The downloadable bundle contains the corrected plain variants. Optional MPN-marked assets are cached separately on the component pages; they are not enabled on this board by default.
