7 CHRG output Open-drain charge-in-progress indicator (active-low, name is bar-CHRG). Pulled low while the charger is delivering current to the battery; Hi-Z otherwise. With a 10 µF cap on BAT and no battery installed, pulses at ≈1-4 s to signal a missing battery. V_OL 0.2 V typ at 3 mA sink; abs-max 10 V.
8 CE input Chip enable input. Logic high enables normal charging; logic low disables the charger and inhibits current into BAT. TTL and CMOS compatible; abs-max −0.3 V to 10 V. Tie to Vcc for always-on operation.
