# WS2812B-2020: footprint, hover and README pass (2026-10-03)

John: footprints follow the manufacturer's land pattern; README.md replaces README.html; the assembly animation moves to a sub-readme.

- Footprint: kept. Land pattern from Worldsemi WS2812B-2020 datasheet V1.0, p.2 (PCB Solder Pad). Pads 0.7 x 0.7 mm, centre to centre 1.83 mm, corner radius 0.1 mm.
- Rebuilt from the footprint: `WS2812B-2020-fpview.html` (and the lbr-hover bus on both viewers), `WS2812B-2020.lbr`, `WS2812B-2020.adom-lbr.json`, the hero GLB, and the pads / solder / silk in `WS2812B-2020.insertion.glb`.
- Etched STEP: kept.
- README.html removed (it repeated the native Symbol & Footprint viewers); README.md rewritten; `docs/assembly.md` + `docs/assembly.html` carry the pick-and-place animation; `docs/datasheet.md` the datasheet pages.
- New: `WS2812B-2020-outline.kicad_sym`, `artwork/WS2812B-2020-3d-outline-blueprint-named.svg`, `artwork/WS2812B-2020-3d-outline-dark-named.svg`, `artwork/WS2812B-2020-3d-outline-ink-heavy-named.svg`, `artwork/WS2812B-2020-3d-outline-teal-named.svg`, `artwork/WS2812B-2020-thumbs.json`, `docs/assembly.html`, `docs/assembly.md`, `docs/datasheet.md`, `footprint-variants/WS2812B-2020-RR25.kicad_mod`, `footprint-variants/WS2812B-2020-SQ.kicad_mod`, `footprint-variants/WS2812B-2020.kicad_mod`, `footprint-variants/WS2812B-2020.variants.json`, `ws2812b-2020-hero.overlay.json`
