adom-cli works in ALL shells: setup + every launch now publish the workspace env via a code-server systemd drop-in (non-login AI shells inherit it) and the ~/.adom/hd-proxy-url discovery file (adom-cli >= 0.5.12 fallback). Fixes AI-thread webview opens 404ing against carbon. Everything from 0.1.168 included.
New setup shape: cascade runs who-am-i plus ONE consolidated demo prompt (the full tour); the 9 per-tool demos move to a user-initiated Samples dropdown in the header. VS Code gets a read-only glass during setup so user clicks can't break the AI typing. Sample prompts wait for a live cascade. Multi-engine recorder (gdigrab fallback for VMs/virtual displays, fail-fast, capabilities API, multi-monitor). Background-by-default browser opens with a justified-foreground gate. Bundles latest AD.
Multi-engine recorder: gdigrab/ffmpeg fallback for VMs and virtual displays, fail-fast honest 0-frame errors, virtual-display probe, GET /recording/native/capabilities, multi-monitor screen:N and screen:all, measured fps. Browser opens governed: background by default, foreground gated behind a justified reason. Updated setup prompts. Bundles AD 1.9.144.
Browser opens now default to BACKGROUND (never cover HD); foreground requires a justified foregroundReason (logged). Applied John's setup-prompt edits. Bundles Adom Desktop 1.9.144.
HD Native Open (background native browser) + deterministic thread prompts, personalized tsci nameplate, /setup/state fix, WSL2 virtualization detection, latest AD 1.9.142. Signed.
Explicit thread surfaces (webview/background), personalized adom-tsci nameplate, /setup/state fix, latest AD 1.9.140, WSL2 virtualization detection, unified step technique. Signed.
Latest AD 1.9.139 baked in; WSL2 virtualization detection with actionable guidance; unified AI-prompt setup-step technique; auth-success detection; API Explorer overhaul + safety; demo-recording pipeline. Signed.
API safety layer, API Explorer reorg + tooltips + send-to-Claude, demo-recording pipeline, and the one-textbox Claude-inject invariant. Signed.
Hydrogen Desktop 0.1.95 — the flagship Adom desktop app (Windows). The first build we are handing to the whole Adom team to install for real.
Signed by Adom Industries, Inc. (Azure Trusted Signing); per-user install, no admin prompt.
First-run is fully guided: the installer runs, HD signs you into Adom, installs the WSL2 Adom-Workspace if needed (one reboot), and runs a 20-step setup that wires up your editor, workspace, and Claude Code — driven by HD, you just watch.
What is new in 0.1.95:
- Setup never leaves you stuck. If you step away during a sign-in and the link expires, just sign in again (even hours later) — HD now auto-resumes the setup cascade on its own the moment both sign-ins are satisfied, and runs to completion. No commands, no reinstall, no getting stranded.
- The Adom sign-in is fully autonomous (HD surfaces the consent window and authorizes it for you). The Claude sign-in is the one human moment, saved for last; HD highlights Authorize and continues automatically once you approve.
The auto-resume is idle-gated and one-shot, so it never fights a live run or loops.
Workspace golden image: v15 (built from signed adompkg packages, self-updating, ~400 MB).
Hydrogen Desktop 0.1.94 — the flagship Adom desktop app (Windows).
First-run is fully guided: the installer runs, HD signs you into Adom, installs the WSL2 Adom-Workspace if needed (one reboot), and runs a 20-step setup that wires up your editor, workspace, and Claude Code — driven by HD, you just watch.
Highlights in this build:
- Autonomous Adom sign-in: HD surfaces the sign-in window and authorizes it for you (no more stuck/dim Approve button on fresh machines).
- Hardened first-run: no crash on the WSL2 install reboot; the setup cascade resumes cleanly across the reboot.
- Clearer setup UI: stale "action needed" banners clear on success.
Note: if you step away during the Claude sign-in and the link times out, just click "Sign in again" then Authorize — HD picks it up and finishes setup.
