3D editor base scaffold placement: panel z -1.44 should be -1.57, plate -1.596, control panel 0.45 mm off (checked vs Fusion v14)
What's wrong
Hydrogen's 3D editor places the V2 base scaffold slightly wrong. This was checked against the Fusion source (Assembly0.0_SlidingBaseScaffold v14, Adom hub, project Main) on 2026-10-21.
In src/lib/adom-babylon/Workcell/workcellAssetProfiles.ts:
- Panel z:
baseScaffold.z: -1.44should be -1.57. The panels are 1.600 mm thick and rest on the alignment sheet, so with the 1.57 mm-tall panel model at -1.57 the gold contact tops sit at the BSR z = 0 plane. The file's own header comment already says -1.57, which contradicts the live value. - Plate z: -1.47 should be -1.596 (the alignment-sheet top).
- Control panel: its position (169, 683.8) is about 0.45 mm off. The assembly gives (169.225, 684.19). With that, 69 of the 73 contacts placed in Fusion land exactly on the V2.1.0 board's contacts.
- Footprint:
control-panel_scaffold_v2.1.0_footprint.jsonhas two contacts that aren't on the V2.1.0 board (MC64, MC65), and no nets on 58 contacts. The V2.1.0 kicad_pcb has every net.
Why it matters
Simulators and workcell apps that take their coordinates from Hydrogen seat molecules 0.13 mm high and wire the control panel about 0.45 mm off.
Fix
Use the values above, or read them from a base-scaffold metadata file generated from the Fusion assembly. A complete package (BSR datum, 324 contacts, dock pose with nets) is built and ready to share privately. Ask John Lauer for it.
