Notes for designers
CQ02WGF100KTCE is the 1 Ω member of Royalohm’s (UNI-ROYAL) CQ automotive thick film chip resistor series in the 0402 size (CQ02), a 1.00 × 0.50 mm body 0.35 mm thick, with a nickel barrier under the lead-free tin termination. (p.1) It is the automotive (CQ) series: the doc claims compliance with the relevant provisions of AEC-Q200 and backs it with AEC-Q200-referenced test rows, plus an anti-sulfurized construction proven over 1,000 h in 3-5 ppm H2S. (p.1, p.2) Tolerance is ±1 %; the ordering code decodes as 100K = 100 × 10−2 Ω (letter multiplier K = 10−2), and TCE means tape & reel, 10,000 pcs, lead-free. (p.2)
Design against 1/16 W (62.5 mW) at 70 °C, derating runs linearly to zero at +155 °C, and keep continuous voltage at or below 50 V; 100 V is the overload limit, not a working figure. (p.1) TCR is ±200 ppm/°C per the CQ02-CQ12 1-10 Ω bracket. (p.2) Under the AEC-Q200-referenced stresses the allowed drift is tight: ±(1.0 % + 0.05 Ω) after short-time overload or 1,000 h biased humidity, ±(1.0 % + 0.1 Ω) after 1,000 h operational life at 125 °C. (p.2)
Footprint
The datasheet has no land pattern, so the pads are the IPC-7351 nominal pattern (KiCad's standard Resistor_SMD:R_0402_1005Metric), replacing pads that were off it by up to 0.14 mm.

Corners: KiCad roundrects with the radius held to 0.25 x the smaller pad side and no more than 0.1 mm (IPC-7351C favours rounded corners for paste release); copper area within 2.48 % of a square-cornered pad.
