LT4363IMS-2#TRPBF

Analog Devices · Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) · MSOP-12

LT4363IMS-2#TRPBF from Analog Devices, in a MSOP-12. Pinout and pin descriptions extracted from the manufacturer datasheet by ds2sf; symbol, footprint, and 3D from KiCad-official CAD.

Pinout

Pin Name Type Function
1 FB input Voltage regulator feedback input. Connect to the center tap of the resistive divider from OUT to GND; during an overvoltage event, GATE is controlled to maintain 1.275V at FB. Connect FB to GND to disable the OV clamp.
2 OUT input Output voltage sense input. Senses the voltage at the source of the external N-channel MOSFET. The difference (VCC - OUT) sets the fault timer current; when this difference drops below 0.5V the ENOUT pin goes high impedance.
3 SNS input Current sense input. Connect to the input of the current sense resistor. The internal current limit amplifier controls GATE to limit the SNS-to-OUT voltage to 50mV (25mV in severe fault when OUT is below 2V).
4 GATE output N-channel MOSFET gate drive output. Pulled up by an internal charge pump (typ. -30uA) to ~13V above OUT; a 14V internal clamp limits the drive during faults. Both the voltage and current amplifiers control GATE to regulate OUT and limit load current.
5 VCC power_in Positive supply voltage input. Normal operation 4V to 80V; can be pulled below ground by up to 60V during reverse-battery without damage. Pulling SHDN low reduces supply current to ~7uA.
6 SHDN input Active-low shutdown control input. Pulling below the 0.4V threshold shuts the part down to a low-current mode; pull above 2.1V (or disconnect) to enable. Withstands up to 100V above GND or -60V below GND.
7 OV input Overvoltage comparator input (LT4363-2 only). When OV is above its 1.275V threshold the fault retry function is inhibited even after the TMR pin has cycled; GATE is allowed to turn back on when OV falls below the hysteretic threshold. Connect to GND if unused.
8 UV input Undervoltage comparator input. When UV is below the 1.275V threshold, GATE is pulled down with ~1mA; when UV rises above the threshold plus hysteresis, the internal charge pump is enabled and GATE rises. Connect to VCC if unused.
9 GND power_in Device ground.
10 FLT output Open-collector fault output (active-low). Pulls low when TMR reaches 1.275V, warning that the pass MOSFET is about to be turned off due to overvoltage (voltage fault) or overcurrent. Internal NPN sinks up to 2mA.
11 ENOUT output Open-collector enable output. Goes high impedance when OUT is within 0.5V of VCC and >=3V above GND, indicating the external MOSFET is fully on. State is latched until OUT drops below 2V, resetting the latch. Internal NPN sinks up to 2mA.
12 TMR passive Fault timer input. Connect a capacitor (>=10nF) between this pin and GND to set the early warning, fault turn-off and cool-down times. Charging current during a fault depends on VCC - OUT and is roughly 5x larger for overcurrent than for overvoltage; thresholds 1.275V (warning), 1.375V (gate off), 0.5V (retry, LT4363-2).
