6 AGND power_in Analog circuitry ground connection. Return for the low-noise analog reference, error amplifier, and control blocks. Should be tied to signal-ground island and joined to PGND at a single quiet point (typically under the output capacitor).
7 GND power_in Ground pin present only on the SO8-BW package. Datasheet instruction is to connect this pin directly to AGND; provides additional ground bonding for the analog side of the die.
8 VINSW power_in Power input voltage supplying the internal high-side power MOSFET drain. Operating range 3.0 V to 18 V; absolute max -0.3 V to 20 V. Requires a low-ESR input decoupling capacitor placed as close as possible to this pin and PGND.
