6 SW output Switching node (second SW pin, internally tied to pin 5). Drain of the internal NDMOS switch; parallel with pin 5 for current handling.
7 N/C unconnected No connection. Leave floating or tie to a non-conductive area on the PCB.
8 VIN power_in Input supply voltage, 4.5V to 40V (absolute max 42V). Decouple to GND with a 10µF or higher X7R (or X5R) ceramic capacitor placed as close as possible to the device. Internal regulator startup threshold ≈ 3.8V-4.5V.
EP EP passive Exposed thermal pad on the package underside. Connect to GND and to a copper thermal mass for enhanced thermal impedance (θJA = 56°C/W, θJC = 15°C/W). Not intended as an electrical ground conduction path - use the GND pins for current return.
