D_SMA (DO-214AC)

The SMA (DO-214AC) is the standard surface-mount diode package for medium-power applications. With a 4.3 x 2.6mm body, it handles up to 2A continuous current and is used extensively for rectifier diodes, Schottky diodes, TVS protection diodes, and Zener voltage references. The polarized pad layout with clear cathode marking makes assembly straightforward. A ubiquitous footprint found on virtually every PCB with power conversion or protection circuitry.
