ME4057ASPG

MICRONE · Battery Management · SOIC-8-EP

ME4057ASPG from MICRONE, in a SOIC-8-EP. Pinout and pin descriptions extracted from the manufacturer datasheet by ds2sf; symbol, footprint, and 3D from KiCad-official CAD.

Pinout

Pin Name Type Function
1 TEMP input Battery temperature sense input. Connect to the wiper of a divider formed with the pack NTC thermistor. Charging is suspended when V_TEMP falls below ~45% V_CC or rises above ~80% V_CC. Tie to GND to disable the temperature-sense function.
2 PROG bidirectional Charge-current program and monitor pin. A resistor R_PROG from PROG to GND sets the fast-charge current per I_BAT = (V_PROG/R_PROG)*1100 (V_PROG ≈ 1 V in constant-current mode, 0.1 V in precharge). The pin voltage may also be measured to monitor instantaneous charge current.
3 GND power_in Device ground return. Connect to the system ground plane; the ESOP exposed pad should also be soldered to this ground for thermal dissipation.
4 VCC power_in Positive input supply (4.7 V - 6.5 V typical, 5 V nominal) from a USB port or wall adapter. When VCC drops within ~80 mV of V_BAT the device enters low-power sleep, dropping I_BAT to <2 µA. Bypass locally with a ceramic capacitor.
5 BAT power_out Battery connection pin. Sources the regulated charge current from the internal PMOS power FET (R_ON ≈ 650 mΩ) up to 1 A, and regulates to 4.2 V float voltage on the 'A' variant. Drain from the battery is <2 µA in disable/sleep modes.
6 STDBY output Open-drain charge-terminated status output (active-low, overlined /STDBY). Pulled low when charging has terminated (battery full); otherwise high impedance. Typically drives a green LED to VCC through a current-limit resistor.
7 CHRG output Open-drain charge-in-progress status output (active-low, overlined /CHRG). Pulled low while the battery is charging; goes to high impedance when charging terminates or the battery is out of temperature range. Typically drives a red LED to VCC.
8 CE input Chip-enable input, TTL/CMOS compatible. Drive high (or leave floating pulled up) to place the device in normal operating mode; drive low to force the ME4057 into disable (shutdown) mode.

3D model downloads

Two STEP files. Same geometry, different body top:

File Size Use it when
me4057aspg.step 125 KB You want the bare part, or you mark your own boards.
me4057aspg-etched.step 2.0 MB You want the part with ME4057ASPG already on it.

The marking in the etched file is real recessed geometry cut into the solid, not a texture or a decal: 511 faces against 152 in the bare model. It survives export, section views, and rendering in any CAD tool, and it drops straight into KiCad or Fusion with no extra setup.
