Manufacturer documents and overlapping source pads

The small nested teal rectangles in the hero are not holes or copper cutouts. This source-derived footprint has a custom F.Cu source pad numbered 1 and two 0.4 x 0.4 mm F.Cu rectangles numbered 2 and 3 lying inside it. They represent separate source-pin connection objects. The positive copper areas overlap and form one continuous region in fabricated copper; the outer shape is a footprint pad, not a board pour. The inner pads have no separate F.Mask or F.Paste layers. The containing custom pad carries the mask opening; paste apertures are separately defined.

The hero currently outlines each pad object, including these internal boundaries, rather than only the combined copper perimeter. This is a visualization ambiguity, not a cutout instruction. Copper, mask and paste need distinct labelled views. The footprint came from the ESC source board; manufacturer land-pattern and assembly qualification is not established merely by this explanation or by a successful 3D render.

Pin-1 visibility correction — 2026-09-17

The current main STEP and hero GLB include a high-contrast pin-1 orientation dot as well as the MPN. The earlier independent nominal model omitted this dot; the footprint previously relied on a subtle asymmetric outline. The footprint now includes a separate silk dot outside the pin-1 corner. Original variants remain available as history.

This is an AI-authored visualization aid, not an exact reproduction of factory dot shape or printing. Pin-1 orientation follows the Infineon datasheet pin diagram and the footprint numbered-pad orientation (PCB Y-down maps to model Y-up). Body and terminal geometry are retained. The original flat MPN overlay is explicitly preserved through CAD export. Marker source, dimensions and hashes and reproducible code. The hero retains its presentation-only 180-degree Z rotation; use the original-frame STEP/GLB for board assembly.

Identity and source

Manufacturer: Infineon Technologies. Exact identity comes from the board properties or the supplier code resolution retained in provenance.json. This shared component page is reusable across Adom projects. Source descriptions are reproduced as design metadata, not independently qualified electrical ratings.

Reusable CAD

The footprint is extracted from the actual final board with board position, nets and UUIDs removed. The symbol is extracted from the published source schematic where available. Verify pin numbering and land dimensions before use in a new design.

Model quality and reusable variants

This independently authored nominal visualization is generated from dimensional specifications with CadQuery 2.8.0; it does not import third-party CAD geometry. Source CAD was used privately for comparison only. It replaces the earlier model binding. Body dimensions have been compared; detailed terminals, pin-1 and maximum clearance remain needs work, not manufacturer-qualified.

Nominal model

Optional MPN identification

Top · Underside · Generator · Evidence and hashes · Generated asset license

The plain model remains the default. The optional MPN is added geometry in a separate group; it is an identification aid, not an assertion of the factory marking. Long identifiers require zoom. Keep plain and marked variants separate. Existing symbols and footprints retain their own provenance and still require pin mapping and dimension review.

CAD provenance and independent review

Audit by Codex Astra (AI). Per-file provenance, sources and checks documents the current file hashes, source or generation inputs, modifications, verification limits and unknown origins. AI-created models are identified explicitly; a wiki upload is not manufacturer verification.

Displayed model and review status

The main 3D viewer uses bsc016n06ns-hero-mpn.glb, derived from the reviewed bsc016n06ns-mpn.glb. The exact MPN is AI-added identification artwork, not a factory marking. Marking inputs, fit and licensing and source provenance remain applicable.

The hero applies only a 180-degree Z display rotation; no geometry is scaled. Use the original-frame marked STEP/GLB downloads for board assemblies. The rendered package and readable mark were reviewed; that does not establish manufacturer-exact dimensions, polarity, or native-tool qualification. Binding and file hashes.

Footprint-aware inspection hero

The current hero adds separate nonphysical reference layers: teal dashed copper boundaries at 50% opacity, silkscreen at 30% opacity and actual symbol pin names (unique pad numbers when unnamed) at 50% opacity. Orbit underneath to compare physical terminals, copper and pin1 marks. Copper outlines are not soldermask/paste. Existing MPN, materials, animations and lights are preserved. These helpers are excluded from board-use STEP/GLB files. Geometry, mapping and source hashes; pin-map input. Physical body can occlude seating-plane artwork; inspect the underside or isolate it. Generated display-font contours are not native fab artwork.
