7 GND power_in IC ground / MOSFET source return. Tie to pin 3 and pin 8. Pin 6 is intentionally omitted from the PDIP-7 package to increase creepage distance between the high-voltage DRAIN pin and the low-voltage ground pins.
8 GND power_in IC ground / MOSFET source return. Tie to pin 3 and pin 7 to complete the low-side current path.
