README
markdownTexas Instruments OPA189IDBVR
A single precision, zero-drift operational amplifier in the five-pin DBV / SOT-23 package. Use the exact DBV pinout below; the SOIC and VSSOP versions use different pin numbers.
| Pin | Function |
|---|---|
| 1 | OUT |
| 2 | V−, negative supply |
| 3 | IN+, noninverting input |
| 4 | IN−, inverting input |
| 5 | V+, positive supply |
The OPA189 supports a 4.5–36 V total supply and rail-to-rail output; “rail-to-rail output” does not mean unrestricted input common-mode range. Review the manufacturer's input limits, output swing versus load, stability and electrical specifications for the intended circuit.
TI exact-part page · datasheet. Pin mapping follows Table 6-1. Mechanical reference: DBV0005A, drawing 4214839/K 08/2024 and its example land pattern in the supplied PDF.
Library and CAD
Provisional, not fabrication-qualified. The footprint follows TI's example: 1.10 × 0.60 mm pads, 2.60 mm row spacing and 0.95 mm pitch. It is not identical to every generic KiCad SOT-23-5 land pattern. Review routing, solder clearances and process constraints before replacing an existing footprint.
The model is an original nominal reconstruction, not TI CAD: 2.90 mm lead span, 1.60 × 2.90 mm maximum nominal molded body and 1.20 mm total height. Mold taper and polygonal lead bends are simplified; the pin-index region and factory ink are not reproduced. Its virtual full MPN is an identification aid, not a copy of the production marking. Clean and marked models remain separate.
The generic KiCad SOT-23-5 candidate inspected during this audit was 1.55 mm tall, exceeding this package drawing's 1.45 mm maximum. It was rejected for this exact-part catalog model. Exact-MPN naming alone does not establish geometry fidelity.
The hero adds nonphysical footprint references. Use the clean or marked STEP/GLB for assembly, and inspect the native EDA rendering before acceptance. This page does not establish physical sample agreement, native KiCad/Fusion/Altium parity, solder-process qualification or device electrical performance.

The board-use model_3d_plain means geometry without footprint annotations; it retains the virtual MPN. The separately named opa189idbvr-plain.glb is the unmarked variant.
