DIP-16

The DIP-16 is the workhorse through-hole IC package for 74-series logic, motor drivers (L293D, ULN2003), RS-232 transceivers (MAX232), and display drivers. With 16 pins at 2.54mm pitch and 7.62mm row spacing, it fits breadboards and standard IC sockets. Twice as long as DIP-8, it provides the pin count needed for more complex functions. The 3D model shows the elongated body with pin-1 notch and dual rows of straight leads.
