EEE-FK1V470P
Panasonic EEE-FK1V470P, an FK series surface-mount aluminium electrolytic capacitor: 47 uF, 20% tolerance, rated 35 V DC, case size code D (6.3 mm can diameter, 5.8 mm tall). Typical use is input bulk capacitance on a DC/DC converter, where its ESR also damps the resonance between a long supply cable and low-ESR ceramic capacitors.

3D model notes
3D model: manufacturer STEP (Panasonic), used under the manufacturer's CAD terms.
The Panasonic STEP is Y-up with the + terminal on +X (sha256 106f4f2536962b705e711953ebb791b3bf960613fa523da4aafc93386a18a86b). The GLB wraps it in one root transform, a +90 degree rotation about X followed by 180 degrees about Z, so the part sits on Z = 0 and its + terminal lands on footprint pad 1. The footprint's KiCad model binding uses the equivalent rotate (xyz -90 0 180).
Hero 3D model
The 3D viewer shows eee-fk1v470p-hero.glb. It is the Panasonic model with a virtual laser-etched EEE-FK1V470P on the silver field of the can top (text box 4.55 x 0.49 mm, flat white, running beside the black minus stripe and reading upright, left to right, with the + side toward you; made with adom-aiflow-etch / adom-chip-laser as a flat sheet merged so the model keeps its own colours), plus nonphysical footprint reference art: teal dashed copper-pad outlines at 50 percent opacity, the footprint silkscreen (with its + sign and chamfered corners) at 30 percent, and the pad numbers at 50 percent, each a separate layer in the viewer. The + terminal lands on pad 1: in the posed model the minus stripe is over pad 2 and the chamfered base-plate corners are on the pad 1 side. The mark is an identification aid, not the manufacturer's marking.
EEE-FK1V470P-etched.step is the marked model as a STEP in the original Y-up frame, so the footprint's rotate (xyz -90 0 180) binding works unchanged. The original EEE-FK1V470P.step and the unmarked GLB eee-fk1v470p.glb are unchanged and carry no footprint art. The hero's sources and hashes are in its adomHero metadata; provenance/ keeps the record of the earlier, near-black mark.
Symbol options
The default symbol, EEE-FK1V470P.kicad_sym (the one in the Symbol & Footprint panel), is the plain standard symbol. EEE-FK1V470P-outline.kicad_sym is the same symbol with the part's 3D chip outline added, its part number upright and left to right exactly as on the 3D model. Other layouts can be generated and downloaded here:
Chip outline
The outline symbol keeps the standard polarized capacitor and adds the part's 3D outline as a small grey drawing to its left, so a reader sees what the part looks like on the board. The outline is drawn from EEE-FK1V470P.step by Adom's OpenCascade service (hidden-line removal, iso view), with the part number as flat text where EEE-FK1V470P-etched.step has it: on the silver field, along the minus stripe, reading upright and left to right with the + side toward you. The same outlines are cached here for reuse in other symbols and libraries:
License
The KiCad-derived footprint follows the KiCad library license (CC-BY-SA 4.0 with the KiCad design exception). The STEP model remains subject to Panasonic's CAD data terms. The symbol and the generated files are MIT.
