3D model notes

3D model: manufacturer STEP (Abracon), used under the manufacturer's CAD terms.

The Abracon STEP is Y-up and its terminals reach 0.05 mm below the body origin (sha256 8e69d8c60ea0856c13e79bb2444bf254db519e46f3ae8384d6a67f9695b16e52). The GLB wraps it in one root transform, +90 degrees about X plus a 0.05 mm lift, so the part is Z-up and seated on Z = 0. The footprint's KiCad model binding uses the equivalent rotate (xyz -90 0 0) with offset (xyz 0 0 0.05). The model is the AMPLH5030S series body, shared by every inductance value in the series.

Hero 3D model

The 3D viewer shows amplh5030s-150mt-hero.glb: the manufacturer model, unchanged, with nonphysical footprint reference art in the footprint seating frame. Teal dashed outlines (50 percent opacity) trace the copper pads, the footprint silkscreen is drawn at 30 percent and the pad numbers 1 and 2 at 50 percent. Each is a separate layer in the viewer's Layers panel. The top-face AMPLH5030S text is Abracon's own printed mark in the STEP; no virtual mark was added.

Boards should use AMPLH5030S-150MT.step or amplh5030s-150mt.glb, which carry no footprint art. Hashes, transforms and the tools are in provenance/amplh5030s-150mt-hero.provenance.json.

Symbol options

The default symbol, AMPLH5030S-150MT.kicad_sym (the one in the Symbol & Footprint panel), is the plain standard symbol. AMPLH5030S-150MT-outline.kicad_sym is the same symbol with the part's 3D chip outline added, its part number upright and left to right exactly as on the 3D model. Other layouts can be generated and downloaded here:

Chip outline

The outline symbol keeps the standard inductor coil and adds the part's 3D outline as a small grey drawing above it, so a reader sees what the part looks like on the board. The outline is drawn from AMPLH5030S-150MT.step by Adom's OpenCascade service (hidden-line removal, iso view). Abracon's model prints AMPLH5030S on the top as raised letters; in the outline that print is redrawn once as flat text, at the same place and in the same direction as on the 3D model. The outline shows the part in the standard iso pose, pad 1 toward the viewer, so the part number reads upright and left to right, the way it reads on the real part. The print and this name run along the part's 5.2 mm side, as Abracon prints it; the top face is nearly square (5.4 x 5.2 mm). The same outlines are cached here for reuse in other symbols and libraries:
