✓Datasheet: XINGLIGHT's own PDF (https://www.xinglight.cn/uploadfile/202602/2e6c9999ce1cba5.pdf, linked from https://www.xinglight.cn/index.php?c=show&id=1174) is byte-identical to the copy the page carried (sha256 e047f02eabf2ced5); 14 pages, no revision printed, PDF dated 2025-11-04; provenance moved from the LCSC/JLCPCB URL to the maker's
✓Pins: polarity diagram (p.7) labels (1) minus and (2) plus; the bottom view puts the green cathode mark at terminal (1); pin 1 K / pin 2 A, both passive, as the symbol and footprint (cathode on pad 1); descriptions re-cited to p.7
✓Footprint pads vs the Recommended Soldering Pattern (p.7): 0.77 x 0.95 mm at x = +/-0.815 (0.86 gap), exactly as printed; pad 1 (cathode) at -x
✓3D model rebuilt (tier 3): the previous model, extracted from a board STEP with no licence, stood the LED upright (1.70 x 0.60 x 1.10 tall). XINGLIGHT publishes no STEP (product page links the PDF only); KiCad has no XL-1606 model (LED_Kingbright_APA1606 horizontal is a single fused solid without terminals; KiCad's chip_convex generator draws a 0.9 mm lens vs the printed 1.2). Hand-built in CadQuery from p.7, CC-BY-SA-4.0
✓3D body vs p.7 at drawing scale (overlay docs/proof/xl-1606-3d-vs-drawing.png): L 1.70, W 0.60, H 1.10, base 0.48, lens top 1.20 (flank 1.27 at the base, R 0.08 measured), terminals 0.40 on the bottom and 0.15 on the top, cathode mark 0.10-0.30 mm toward pin 1; all on the drawing lines
✓Mounted pose: on its side, seated on z = 0, height 0.60; lens 0.60 mm past the pads (lens tip footprint y -1.07, base y -0.45..+0.03) as the Recommended Soldering Pattern places it; terminal K over pad 1, A over pad 2
•Which face lies down, from the tape drawing (p.8): cathode toward the sprocket holes (reel note, diode symbol, A-A section) and lens toward the feed direction, so with the lens up the page the cathode is on the left: lens toward footprint -y. Conflict recorded: the p.7 pattern's outline is the front view pasted in and shows the green mark right of centre; it fixes position, not the face (docs/proof/xl-1606-tape-orientation.png). The bosch-ovhd-xarm_v1.0 LEDs then point at the board edge
✓Footprint courtyard enlarged to -1.45..1.45 x -1.32..0.73 (0.25 mm around pads and lens; the old one ended at y -0.80, inside the lens) and F.Fab redrawn as the side-mounted body; pads, mask, paste, silk unchanged
•MPN etched as a virtual mark on the white base of the up-facing side wall (adom-chip-laser 0.2.0 inlay; `etch surface=side` finds no wall that fits the text and `surface=top` lands on the lens)
✓DigiKey 5962-XL-1606UBCTR-ND (XINGLIGHT XL-1606UBC) confirmed by search 2026-10-28; Mouser does not carry it (searched XL-1606UBC)
✓Symbol Datasheet / MPN / Manufacturer / DigiKey / Mouser / LCSC properties agree with page.json; footprint Datasheet property points at the manufacturer datasheet URL
•component-page-verify: all checks pass except pose: step_pose 0.2.0 off-origin from its contact heuristic (a 0.5 mm pad grow sweeps the body and lens into the contact on a 1.7 mm part); restricted to the terminal solids the contacts sit inside pads 1 and 2 (provenance/contact-proof.json)

•3D model: on the source board the footprint of every XL-1606 colour points at a model file named XL-1606SURC.step; this page uses the geometry placed at this reference designator in the board STEP export (body 1.7 x 0.6 x 1.1 mm per the outline drawing, p.7). Confirm the lens colour and body against the drawing.

SymbolFootprint3D modelPinsfor all variants

✓Footprint extracted pad-for-pad from the source board and normalized to the footprint frame (back-side parts un-mirrored)
✓3D model seated z=0 at footprint origin (placement inverse; method centroid-matched to KiCad library models on 59 cases)
✓adom-lbr generate + lint passed
✓2 of 2 pins described
•Not yet checked by a person: land pattern vs datasheet, pin-1/orientation, 3D body vs drawing
