TLV767

Texas Instruments · LDO regulator · WSON-6

Wide-input linear regulator that takes 2.5 to 16 V and delivers a clean 1 A output, so it drops an unregulated or higher rail straight to a logic supply without a switcher. The output is set by a resistor divider at FB (adjustable version) or fixed by order code, an EN pin gates it, and internal current limit plus thermal shutdown protect it. The higher 16 V input ceiling sets it apart from most small LDOs. A solid point-of-load linear supply.

4 EN input Enable input. Drive high (VIH ≥ 1.2 V) to enable the regulator, low (VIL ≤ 0.4 V) to shut down (ISHUTDOWN ≈ 1.5 µA). Has an internal pull-up (≈400 nA); may be tied to IN to auto-enable.
5 GND power_in Ground return. Second ground pin on the WSON-6 package; tie together with pin 3 to the ground plane.
6 IN power_in Input supply. 2.5 V to 16 V absolute operating range (18 V abs max). Place a ≥1 µF ceramic input capacitor as close to IN and GND as possible.
7 Thermal Pad passive Exposed thermal pad. Connect to ground or leave floating; tying to a large-area ground plane provides best thermal performance.
