pcb export gerbers writes hidden files named after the upload temp file

Colby Knox · 17d ago

service-kicad pcb export gerbers board.kicad_pcb --out gerbers/ prints nothing and exits 0, but the files it writes are hidden and named after the service's temporary upload file instead of the board:

$ ls -a gerbers/
.tmpZDMpw6-B_Cu.gbl   .tmpZDMpw6-F_Cu.gtl         .tmpZDMpw6-job.gbrjob
.tmpZDMpw6-B_Mask.gbs .tmpZDMpw6-F_Mask.gts       .tmpZDMpw6.drl
.tmpZDMpw6-B_Silkscreen.gbo  .tmpZDMpw6-F_Silkscreen.gto  .tmpZDMpw6-Edge_Cuts.gm1

A plain ls gerbers/ shows an empty folder, so the export looks like it failed. Running it again adds a second set with a new .tmpXXXXXX prefix beside the first.

Expected: files named after the input board (board-F_Cu.gtl, ..., board.drl), and a → gerbers/ (N files) line like the other exports print.

CLI 1.1.0 (package 1.1.1), service 1.1.0 at 08def5a7, KiCad 10.0.2, run from a Linux container on 2026-10-07.
