SBR10U45SP5-13 integration
Read README.md and the original manufacturer datasheet before selection. Logical pin 1 is cathode; logical pin 2 has two physical anode terminals and both must connect externally. The supplied footprint has cathode at negative X and anodes at positive X. Keep the model seated at Z=0 with no rotation or offset.
Use the plain STEP/GLB for physical board geometry. The marked variant adds a virtual full-MPN identification aid; the real factory marking is S10U45S. Never use the hero GLB in a PCB assembly: its pin labels and footprint overlays are nonphysical. The model is a nominal drawing reconstruction, not manufacturer CAD; read model-provenance.json for omitted details.
Import the native symbol and footprint, preserve logical pin numbers, and place the STEP under the project's 3d folder or explicitly rebind to a shared model directory. The footprint's ${KIPRJMOD}/3d binding is relative to the consuming project. Verify the saved native 2D/3D views and schematic-to-board connectivity after import.
If a current solver requires one physical pad per terminal, select the two anode centers independently and declare the branch-current assumption. Do not silently choose one anode or assume equal sharing without saying so. Recalculate coordinates after placement.
The 10 A label depends on the datasheet's mounting and thermal conditions. Maximum forward voltage at 25 C does not establish a cold-temperature operating guarantee. Check reverse leakage, junction temperature, package contact and board cooling in the actual application. Assets and simulation do not constitute industrial qualification.
