Vishay NTCLE428E3103H301A insulated temperature sensor
Public Made by Adomby adom
Insulated 10 kOhm temperature sensor, 300 mm overall length, with off-board symbol and nominal cable model.
Vishay NTCLE428E3103H301A
An insulated, nonpolar 10 kOhm NTC temperature sensor with 300 +/-5 mm overall length. This exact ordering code is the 3% resistance, B25/85=3984 K +/-0.5% version using manufacturer resistance table 5. Do not substitute the 3435 K family curve or infer 0.3 C accuracy from a family headline.
The body is at most 3 mm diameter and 10 mm long. The two AWG30 PVC insulated flying leads have solder-dipped ends, with no connector supplied. The drawing defines L from the body tip to wire tip. A 295 mm minimum overall length and 10 mm maximum body leave at least 285 mm external lead. Nominal insulation diameter 0.85 mm is informational; exposed conductor diameter 0.30+/-0.03mm and end length 3+/-1mm are drawing dimensions.
Use the manufacturer table and calibrate the complete acquisition chain. Operating range is -40 to 105 C at zero dissipation. The 100 mW rating is at 55 C; self-heating affects temperature measurements. Approximate 2.5-second response is measured in oil and is not an installed adhesive-to-case response. The 500 Vrms lead-to-coated-body withstand figure is not a certified continuous working-voltage rating.
Mount by suitable tape or adhesive with strain relief. Hard potting, overmolding, fluid immersion and continuous water contact are excluded by the datasheet. Select and validate a separate connector/contact for the wire diameter, conductor, solder-dipped end preparation and crimp process.
Reusable assets
The two-pin symbol documents the off-board sensor and deliberately has on_board=no. Lead numbers are a library convention; the sensor is nonpolar. The mechanical footprint has zero copper pads and represents a straight sensor/cable envelope. It must not be used as a two-hole PCB land pattern. Select the actual board connector separately.
The original Adom STEP/GLB models a 300 mm straight cable with a simplified rounded body at the maximum dimensional envelope. Wire spacing and detailed epoxy contour are illustrative. The stock sensor has no factory marking and no attached plug; neither is invented here. The hero uses a clearly labeled coiled display pose; each lead preserves 287 mm of insulated external length plus 3 mm exposed end, for a 300 mm equivalent straight overall length including the body. This pose is illustrative, not the supplied shape or a validated installed route. Flexible routing, attachment, tolerances and physical fit require separate review.
Vishay's downloadable series CAD was inspected: its 36.5 mm overall geometry represents a short form, not this 300 mm variant. The manufacturer archive remains a source reference; it is not relicensed or redistributed with the original Adom library.
