CAD provenance and independent review
Audit by Codex Astra (AI). Per-file provenance, sources and checks documents the current file hashes, source or generation inputs, modifications, verification limits and unknown origins. AI-created models are identified explicitly; a wiki upload is not manufacturer verification.
Unresolved original provenance: symbol, footprint, step, glb. See the record before treating these as source-verified assets.
Report a component problem with the filename/hash and evidence.
Optional MPN-marked model, preview and provenance
Optional lit LED STEP/GLB variants, independent light/MPN groups, previews and provenance
3D preview and model status
The main viewer now uses the LED hero derivative: one slow fade off and on, a gentle 36-degree turn, then it stays lit and still after 10 seconds. Replay is optional. The MPN is an AI-added visual identification overlay, not factory marking. The single embedded spotlight is illustrative, not calibrated photometry.
Correction: the original ncd0402b1.glb contains a mesh named R_0402_1005Metric, a resistor model, and is not a valid LED representation. It is retained only for history; do not use it. The original STEP remains unverified. The replacement is based on generic KiCad LED_0402_1005Metric geometry with retained upstream licensing, not a manufacturer-qualified package model. Exact body, terminal and polarity fidelity still require manufacturer drawing comparison.
Use the static lit GLB or unlit GLB for board assemblies; the hero GLB is presentation-only. Hero generation and audit.
Footprint-aware inspection hero
The current hero adds separate nonphysical reference layers: teal dashed copper boundaries at 50% opacity, silkscreen at 30% opacity and actual symbol pin names (unique pad numbers when unnamed) at 50% opacity. Orbit underneath to compare physical terminals, copper and pin1 marks. Copper outlines are not soldermask/paste. Existing MPN, materials, animations and lights are preserved. These helpers are excluded from board-use STEP/GLB files. Geometry, mapping and source hashes; pin-map input. Physical body can occlude seating-plane artwork; inspect the underside or isolate it. Generated display-font contours are not native fab artwork.
The lit display skin now has 0.01 mm outward clearance and 0.005 mm thickness to prevent near-coplanar depth flicker; the MPN is raised above that skin. This is an illustrative dimensional addition, not manufacturer geometry. LED provenance.
