mcp606t-i.kicad_sym symbol: the part is a 5-lead SOT-23 - the shipped footprint has 5 pads and the datasheet confirms it for this ordering suffix - but the symbol carried the 8-pin SOIC pinout. The page MPN was also truncated to a form with no package code, so it matched no distributor; corrected to the orderable part. Pinout taken from this part's datasheet for its own ordering suffix. The library failed validate because the symbol declared pins the footprint has no pad for (connect-pad-unresolved), which also blocked its orderable attributes. Rebuilds the .lbr, re-derives pin 1 and pads.json. · Ray 1mo ago
mcp606t-i.lbr rebuild the library on adom-lbr 2.32.0. The published copy was built by 2.18.0, which imported every KiCad roundrect and oval pad as a SQUARE EAGLE smd; this carries the real pad shape across (0 -> 5 rounded pads) and stops dropping geometry drawn on KiCad User.N layers. Attributes, connects, pads and the pin-1 marker are gated against decreasing and are unchanged. · Ray 1mo ago

MCP606T-I

Microchip · Operational Amplifier · SOT-23-5

MCP606T-I from Microchip, in a SOT-23-5. Pinout and pin descriptions extracted from the manufacturer datasheet by ds2sf; symbol, footprint, and 3D from KiCad-official CAD.

Pinout

Pin Name Type Function
1 NC unconnected No internal connection to the IC. Leave floating or tie to any convenient net; making no connection is recommended.
2 -IN input Inverting input terminal of the op amp. High-impedance CMOS input (10^13 Ohm
3 +IN input Non-inverting input terminal of the op amp. High-impedance CMOS input (10^13 Ohm
4 VSS power_in Negative power supply pin (analog ground in single-supply applications). Absolute range: 0 V to -7 V relative to Vdd. Typically tied to GND for single-supply operation.
5 NC unconnected No internal connection to the IC. Leave floating or tie to any convenient net.
6 OUT output Op-amp output. Rail-to-rail swing to within ~15-60 mV of the supply rails at RL=25 kOhm. Short-circuit output current 17 mA typ. Absolute max continuous current +/-30 mA.
7 VDD power_in Positive power supply pin. Operating range 2.5 V to 5.5 V (absolute max 7.0 V). Iq = 18.7 uA typ, 25 uA max per amplifier at Io = 0. Bypass with a local 0.1 uF ceramic capacitor to Vss.
8 NC unconnected No internal connection to the IC. Leave floating or tie to any convenient net.

CAD (KiCad official)

  • Symbol: MCP606T-I
  • Footprint: Package_TO_SOT_SMD:SOT-23-5
  • 3D model: SOT-23-5 (KiCad packages3D, STEP)
  • 3D model files: mcp606t-i-etched.step / mcp606t-i-etched.glb carry the MPN laser-etched on the die in a toggleable Adom.LaserEtch group (Fusion-ready); mcp606t-i.step / mcp606t-i.glb are the bare package body.

3D model downloads

Two STEP files. Same geometry, different body top:

File Size Use it when
mcp606t-i.step 85 KB You want the bare part, or you mark your own boards.
mcp606t-i-etched.step 1.7 MB You want the part with MCP606T-I already on it.

The marking in the etched file is real recessed geometry cut into the solid, not a texture or a decal: 406 faces against 102 in the bare model. It survives export, section views, and rendering in any CAD tool, and it drops straight into KiCad or Fusion with no extra setup.

Provenance

Data extracted from the manufacturer datasheet, not a distributor listing:

  • Datasheet: Microchip datasheet (37 pp, sha256 5551a23d5381a36a, retrieved 2026-08-17, tier: lcsc)
  • Extractor: ds2sf (Claude). Every pin and dimension is cited to a datasheet page; it refuses to fabricate.
  • CAD: KiCad official libraries (CC-BY-SA 4.0).
