Ohmite LVK12R020DER

A 20 mΩ, ±0.5%, four-terminal Kelvin current-sense resistor in the LVK12 / 1206 size. Ohmite specifies 0.5 W at 70 °C ambient, 50 ppm/°C TCR and a −40 to +125 °C operating range. Apply the manufacturer's power derating; the short-pulse overload specification is not a continuous rating.

Keep load current on the current terminals and measure across the separate voltage terminals. The library uses this explicit numbering convention in top view; the manufacturer identifies current/sense function rather than these pin numbers:

Library pin Function Position
1 I+ lower left
2 V+ upper left
3 V− upper right
4 I− lower right

The part is nonpolar. The signs describe the library's measurement convention. Do not short a sense pad into the high-current route before the resistor terminal.

Manufacturer series page · datasheet. The source drawing gives a 3.2 × 1.6 × 0.5 mm nominal body. The footprint follows its LVK12 example land pattern: four 1.75 × 1.10 mm pads, 1.00 mm horizontal gap and 0.30 mm vertical gap.

Assets and limitations

The symbol is derived from KiCad's conventional Kelvin shunt symbol. The original Adom footprint and STEP/GLB are independently authored from the drawing, not manufacturer CAD. Terminal plating thickness, wrap shape, substrate/coating construction and colors are illustrative. The model omits production markings and physical tolerance variation. It is a reusable nominal representation, not a thermal material model or a factory-qualified assembly.

The hero adds nonphysical pad/signal references; use the clean model for board assembly. Check pin mapping and model pose in the intended EDA tool before release. Native Fusion/KiCad/Altium parity, solder process qualification and physical sample measurements are not established by this page.

MIT covers original Adom files. The derived symbol and manufacturer PDF retain their own terms; see attribution.
