LMQ61460AFSQRJRRQ1
Texas Instruments · Switching Regulators (Buck) · VQFN-HR-14 (RJR0014A), 4.0 x 3.5 x 0.9 mm, wettable flanks
The LMQ61460-Q1 is an AEC-Q100 (grade 1) synchronous step-down converter with integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs and integrated input bypass capacitors. It delivers up to 6 A from a 3 V to 36 V input (42 V load-dump tolerant), with an adjustable output from 1 V to 0.95 x VIN and a switching frequency set by RT or synchronized between 200 kHz and 2.2 MHz. The AFS orderable (LMQ61460AFSQRJRRQ1) runs in forced PWM at light load with spread spectrum enabled (SNVSBP4D p.4). The HotRod VQFN-HR package has wettable flanks for automated optical inspection.

Pinout
| Pin | Name | Type | Function |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | BIAS | power_in | Input to the internal LDO. Tie to VOUT (12 V or less) for best efficiency, otherwise to ground. Optional 0.1 uF to 1 uF to ground. Corner L-shaped pad. |
| 2 | VCC | power_out | Internal LDO output. Connect 1 uF to AGND only; no external load. |
| 3 | AGND | power_in | Analog ground. FB and VCC are referred to this pin. Connect to PGND1 and PGND2 on the PCB. |
| 4 | FB | input | Feedback input. Connect to the output divider tap (adjustable version). Do not float or ground. |
| 5 | PGOOD | open_collector | Open-drain power-good output; pull up through a resistor. High = power OK. May be left open or grounded if unused. Corner L-shaped pad. |
| 6 | RT | passive | Switching frequency set: resistor to ground (5.76 kOhm to 66.5 kOhm sets 2.2 MHz to 200 kHz). Do not float or ground. |
| 7 | EN/SYNC | input | Precision enable and synchronization input. High = on, low = off; can be tied to VIN. Do not float. |
| 8 | VIN1 | power_in | Input supply. Bypass to PGND1 close to the pin; low-impedance connection to VIN2. |
| 9 | PGND1 | power_in | Power ground. Bypass VIN1 to this pin; low-impedance connection to PGND2. Corner L-shaped pad. |
| 10 | SW | power_out | Switch node; connect to the output inductor. Long pad, paste split into two apertures. |
| 11 | PGND2 | power_in | Power ground. Bypass VIN2 to this pin; low-impedance connection to PGND1. Corner L-shaped pad. |
| 12 | VIN2 | power_in | Input supply. Bypass to PGND2 close to the pin; low-impedance connection to VIN1. |
| 13 | RBOOT | passive | Boot resistor: a resistor (0 Ohm to open) from RBOOT to CBOOT sets the switch-node rise time. |
| 14 | CBOOT | passive | Bootstrap: 100 nF capacitor from CBOOT to SW. |
Footprint
Copper follows TI's RJR0014A example board layout (SNVSBP4D p.57) and the paste follows the example stencil (p.58): the four corner pins (1, 5, 9, 11) are L-shaped custom pads and the SW pad's paste is split into two apertures. Pad gaps are 0.20 to 0.25 mm; TI recommends non-solder-mask-defined pads with 0.07 mm maximum mask expansion, so check the mask webs with your fab. Pin 1 is marked by a silkscreen dot at the top-left corner.
3D models
All 3D models on this page are AI-created from the manufacturer's dimensioned drawings (no manufacturer CAD file is used or redistributed). They are Z-up, in millimetres, seated on the PCB top surface (z = 0) at the footprint origin, so the footprint's model reference needs no offset or rotation. The builder script is in provenance/tools/.

Provenance
Every file is classified in provenance/provenance.json as source-derived (written from a cited manufacturer document), AI-created (modelled from cited drawings) or derived (generated by a tool), with its SHA-256 and the source document's revision, retrieval date and hash.
Open items:
- TI's own CAD (Ultra Librarian) not obtained (login); footprint and model are written from the datasheet drawings
- SW (pad 10) has no signal-name label in the hero: adom-hero 1.4 treats a pad more than 4x the median area inside the pad field as an exposed pad
