v0.9.56: REAL background-open fix — root cause was launched KiCad procs self-activate ASYNC (after the one-shot restore). Now launch with STARTUPINFO SW_SHOWNOACTIVATE + a PERSISTENT restore thread (6s) that pushes the user's window back whenever KiCad grabs foreground
