Seasoned-user mode: waive the 4-checkbox ritual after N completed gates, and allow AI-clicked Generate backed by a recorded human attestation

Requested by John, 2026-08-13, mid-gate on adom/adom-vscode after several poses in one session.

The friction

The verification gate makes the SAME human tick the same 4 checkboxes (title / subtitle / vitrine / page type) and click Generate on every single pose. For a first-time or occasional user that walkthrough is exactly right. For a page owner who has done this many times in a day (or hundreds over a product's life), it reduces the human to a monkey robot clicking 4 boxes whose meaning they internalized long ago. The review still happens, with their eyes, in chat with the driving AI; the clicks are ceremony.

Proposal

  1. Seasoned threshold. After a user has completed N full gates (suggest N = 4, tracked per account), the checklist renders pre-ticked/collapsed with a one-line 'seasoned reviewer' note. The walkthrough stays available but is opt-in.

  2. AI-clicked Generate with attestation. For seasoned users only, allow the driving AI to trigger Generate via the API (e.g. POST /generate {attest: {aiThread, human, quote, ts}}) where is the human's actual approval utterance from the conversation ('ship it', 'looks good, generate'). The attestation is REQUIRED, recorded in the PNG provenance comment alongside renderer/seed, and shown in the gate's Approved banner, so accountability survives: the human still approved with their eyes, the record says who, when, and in what words.

  3. Safety intact. Hard-fail lint findings (text clipped by hero edge etc.) still lock Generate regardless of seasoning; the registry still requires the studio stamp; a bad attested hero is traceable to its attestation and the privilege can be revoked (fall back to full ritual).

This keeps the doctrine's substance, a HUMAN judges the hero, while dropping the part that is pure clicking. Today's session is the motivating example: the human reviewed every iteration live in the studio and in chat, gave verbal verdicts each round, and still has to end each round with 5 manual clicks.

Decided by Colby and shipped in 0.18.0, in two parts.

  1. Seasoned mode: at 4+ completed gates (gatesDone in GET /state, counted per container for now) the Review step renders the four checks pre-ticked with a one-line note and "Check one by one" one click away. In the new wizard this is honest by construction: walking the steps IS the review, so the collapse only waives ceremony, not eyes. Per-ACCOUNT counting needs wiki identity and is filed with the backend team.

  2. Automated Generate, scoped tighter than proposed: SAME-SESSION REPEATS ONLY. The first Generate of a page each session is always human-clicked; after that, POST /generate with attest {human, quote} re-generates that page, with the attestation baked into the PNG provenance and the Approved record. Your motivating loop (human reviews each round in chat, says "ship it", AI regenerates) is exactly what this covers. What it deliberately does NOT cover: an AI generating a pose no human opened this session, seasoned or not; that scope reduction was Colby's call on the fabrication risk. Attested generates never count toward the seasoned tally, and hard-fail lints lock every path.

Live-verified end to end: human click, tally bump, bare API refusal with the retry recipe, attested re-generate stamped {human: "colby", quote: "ship it"}.
