CFM-4010-03-22 four-wire fan

Same Sky's 5 V, 40 × 40 × 10.6 mm axial fan has PWM input and two-pulse-per-revolution tach feedback. The -22 suffix matters: other variants do not necessarily have both signals. This component includes manufacturer STEP geometry, a separate animated rotor, an off-board schematic symbol and a mechanical mounting template.

Manufacturer datasheet · Manufacturer CAD · Asset provenance

Item Manufacturer specification
Supply 5 V nominal; 4–5.75 V operating
Speed 8300 RPM ±10%
Current 0.16 A typical, 0.24 A maximum
Airflow 10 CFM free air
Static pressure 0.29 in H₂O at the zero-flow endpoint
Bearing Dual ball bearing
Life 70,000 h at 45°C, stated catalog condition
Mounting Four 4.3 ±0.2 mm holes on 32 ±0.3 mm square centers
Leads UL1061 28 AWG, 160 ±10 mm; bare wires, no factory connector

Airflow and pressure maxima are different operating points. Neither specifies airflow through an installed heatsink. Confirm the fan/system operating point and thermal performance in the actual assembly.

Wiring and library roles

Symbol pin¹ Lead Function
1 Red Positive supply
2 Black Ground
3 Yellow Tach output, two pulses per revolution
4 Blue PWM control input

¹These numbers are the authored symbol's logical wire convention, not a factory connector pinout. The fan has bare leads. Select and document a separate header, cable housing and contacts. A mechanical template is not an electrical solder footprint.

The tach output is open collector with a maximum 10 mA sink rating. Use a pull-up compatible with the receiving input. At nominal speed its frequency is about 276.7 Hz. A PWM command does not establish measured speed. The datasheet specifies 4–5 V PWM signal amplitude but does not specify a frequency range or guarantee stopping at zero duty; obtain those limits or characterize a disabled-load fixture before enabling variable-speed operation.

Native off-board symbol · Mechanical mounting template · Static STEP · Clean GLB

The template has four nonplated mounting holes and no electrical pads. Its mounting plane and the fan's assembly orientation must be verified for each bracket. It does not authorize drilling these holes into a populated PCB.

Motion and component states

States contract · Animated runtime GLB · Integration skill

Fan.Housing and the wires remain fixed. Fan.RotorSpin rotates inside the manufacturer rotor transform, using the one-second, one-revolution animation Fan.Rotor.Revolution. Runtime playback rate is RPM / 60, multiplied only by an explicitly labelled visual time scale. Measured, simulated and unknown speed must remain distinct; stale telemetry pauses motion and shows unknown.

The separate hero gently demonstrates idle, ramp-up, running, ramp-down and rest over 20 seconds. Its two illustrative revolutions use slow motion for readability. This is a display demonstration, not a fan acceleration measurement or hardware command. Consumers must respect reduced motion and pause hidden viewers.

Manufacturer geometry does not establish installed cable routing, physical fit, airflow, acoustic performance, PWM behavior or customer qualification. See third-party asset rights; authored metadata and documentation do not relicense the manufacturer model.
