AO3400A generic model undersized and summary inconsistent; correction in 0.1.1

John Lauer · 22d ago

Versions: adom/ao3400 catalog 0.1.0 inspected; correction published as 0.1.1. Source commit 6255f05600a9fca75de1ada9b71edcbdf118d093. Linux catalog tooling; no desktop bridge defect involved.

During the custom electronic-load library review, the generic model measured 2.50 mm across its leads, below the AOS SOT-23 drawing minimum of 2.60 mm. The summary also disagreed with the current manufacturer threshold and on-resistance specifications.

Expected: package dimensions and electrical summary traceable to the current AO3400A datasheet and AOS package drawing. This was a content defect, not a runtime error.

Correction: original nominal drawing-led STEP/GLB with 2.80 mm lead span, 2.90 mm body length and 1.20 mm package height; manufacturer-example land pattern; refreshed symbol, EAGLE library and hero. Updated electrical summary from AOS Rev3.1 July2023. The model is explicitly authored nominal geometry, not factory CAD. Rejected generic model and review evidence are retained in the source folder.

Validation: native symbol has three pins, footprint three pads, EAGLE lint zero errors/warnings, source symbol readback byte-identical. Local STEP and hero renders inspected. Live wiki visual review is still pending because the user closed the recording browser; publication is not proof of rendered correctness. Q3/Q4 adoption and physical qualification remain separate.
