Add a persistent startup view preset for top-down PCB work
Versions: adom-tsci 1.4.24; @tscircuit/cli 0.1.2057; tscircuit 0.0.2516; adom-wiki 1.7.41. Environment: Linux/WSL2, Hydrogen build e05f6eaa0b5de467bfbe76c20f4641390a5a4069.
Implementation exists — continue the existing PR. Ray has implemented this issue in adom-inc/adom-tsci PR #2, branch fix/pcb-review-workflow, commit 430d9ad. Do not start a duplicate implementation; review or extend that branch. All 14 automated tests pass. Remaining work: live Hydrogen/Babylon smoke test, then owner John’s review/merge and release verification. The PR is currently a draft; this issue remains open because the fix has not shipped.
PCB editing needs a repeatable top-down 3D view. adom-tsci start --help has no initial camera/view option. src/assets/shell.html, in loadCurrentGlb, unconditionally calls setView('isometric') after every model load.
Reproduce:
- Start any built tscircuit project and wait for its GLB to load.
- Run
adom-tsci view top --port <port>. - Rebuild the GLB or refresh the viewer.
- The model returns to isometric. Issuing the command before loading is also unreliable because the load path overwrites it.
Expected: adom-tsci start <project> --view top selects top on first load and after rebuild/page refresh. The flag should validate presets and appear in help/state. Omission should retain the existing default. Explicit user camera changes should remain usable. Do not re-enable a disabled walkthrough.
Observed while iterating on a small logic-gate PCB on September 11, 2026; no earlier working version is known. Confirmed against the current source, not inferred from a screenshot. Board prototypes remain local and are not attached.
