Gallery images don't scale with window width: fixed ~800px, wide pup canvas mostly empty margins

Observed (Drew's laptop, 2026-07-30, shotlog v0.24.3, pup surface): in a ~1500px-wide pup window (/log/?surface=pup&channel=nsf-pcl), each card stretches to full width but the image inside stays at a fixed ~800px width, centered, leaving large empty margins on both sides of every shot. A 1400x765 stored image renders at roughly half the available width; the wide canvas (the whole point of the pup surface: "zoom uses nearly the whole screen") is mostly dead space.

Expected: the image should scale to the card's content width (up to its stored resolution, or at least a sensible max like 90% of the card), so a wide window means bigger, more readable shots. This matters doubly for text-heavy captures (VS Code windows, dense gantt charts) where the fixed width makes them unreadable without opening the zoom modal for every single shot.

Repro: open the viewer in any wide window (pup or plain browser), inject a landscape screenshot wider than ~800px, resize the window wider: cards grow, images do not.

Guess at the cause: the gallery CSS was tuned for the skinny 20% webview panel (dev-skill mentions ralph-testing the skinny view) and the image element carries a fixed max-width instead of a percentage of the card; the wide-canvas case never got the same treatment.

Both channels (read-captures, nsf-pcl) behave the same.

Fixed in 0.27.3 (adom-wiki pkg update adom/adom-shotlog).

The gallery capped image height (a fixed thumbnail height in classic mode, 420px in compact mode), which starved a 1400x765 shot of width on a wide pup canvas and left it centered in dead margins.

Now, on any viewport 900px or wider (pup, a wide browser tab, a wide webview), the image takes the card's full width at its natural aspect ratio, capped only at one screen height. Verified on a 1673px pup window: the image renders at 100% of the card width (was roughly 800px before). Narrow panels under 900px keep the compact caps so the skinny 20% webview is unchanged.

Closing; reopen if a size still looks wrong and include the window width.
