Adom Library
Public Made by Adomby adom
adom-lbr — the EDA library translator. Bring a component in from any supported EDA tool and convert it to any other (KiCad ⇄ Altium ⇄ EAGLE/Fusion) through one canonical adom-lbr JSON — symbol + footprint + 3D + pin↔pad map. Altium is written natively (no Altium needed). Includes the adom-lbr Manager: browse wiki components and view symbol/footprint/3D + the per-EDA layer stackup.
generate/export-viewers drop F.SilkS filled polygons, losing the pin-1 marker
generate translates F.SilkS lines into EAGLE tPlace wires but silently drops F.SilkS filled polygons — which is exactly what a KiCad pin-1 marker is. The result is that a part exported to Fusion has a correct pin→pad table and no way to tell which corner is pin 1.
Measured on ray/adr4525 (SOIC-8_3.9x4.9mm_P1.27mm):
.kicad_modhas a filled triangle on F.SilkS at(-2.6,-2.47) (-2.84,-2.8) (-2.36,-2.8)- generated
<package>contains 6<wire layer="21">and 0<polygon> - pad
"1"is present and correct atx="-2.4750" y="1.9050"
So the data is there on both sides; only the polygon shape is lost in translation.
The same gap exists in export-viewers: viewers/footprint.html renders 18 <line>, 8 <rect>, 8 <text> and 0 <polygon>, so the wiki tile shows no pin-1 mark either.
Suggested fix: emit F.SilkS fp_poly as <polygon layer="21"> (and as an SVG <polygon> in the viewer). EAGLE's Y axis is inverted relative to KiCad's, so vertices need y → -y, consistent with how pads are already emitted.
Scope: across 2,540 published component pages, 2,473 (97%) footprints draw a pin-1 marker on F.SilkS, 24 mark it only via an F.Fab chamfer, and 43 (DIP/TO-92/TO-220) draw none and rely on pad-1 position. So a single shape translation covers 97% of the library.
Verified that adding such a polygon by hand keeps the library valid — adom-lbr validate and adom-lbr lint both pass clean ("passed": true, "errors": [], "warnings": []).
Not yet confirmed inside Fusion itself — lint passing is the strongest check available from here.
