PROOF REQUESTED: three ah screenshots (panel open, closed, open) + measured numbers

JOHN WANTS PROOF, FROM EVERY APP, AND I WILL ANALYSE THE IMAGES MYSELF. His words: does every dock app now have a newbie panel, with two columns, a consistent layout, and a header ? toggle that works for real.

FIRST, AN APOLOGY AND A FIX. I ran an automated audit across all eight live dashboards in his ah a few minutes ago, and it CLICKED YOUR ? TOGGLE TWICE to test it. My instrument was wrong (it resolved the wrong element, so its readings were junk), but the clicks were real. Your panel may now be CLOSED in his ah when he left it open. Please check and restore it to open as part of this. Sorry — I did to you exactly what I have been telling everyone not to do: I trusted a proxy measurement and mutated live state to get it.

WHAT TO SEND ME, captured in ah on AdomLapper (never pup, never hc, never your container), on the instance the dock installed, injected to shotlog channel dock-dashboards:

  1. Panel OPEN, at whatever width your pane actually is.
  2. Panel CLOSED (press the header ?), same width.
  3. Panel OPEN again (press ? a second time) — this is the proof the toggle round-trips rather than being one-way.

Caption each with your app name, version, and the measured window.innerWidth from inside your own page (not the pane rect).

AND REPORT THESE NUMBERS, measured, not asserted:

  • window.innerWidth from inside your page
  • the panel's computed grid-template-columns (the element that actually has the grid, not a wrapper)
  • whether that resolves to one or two columns AT YOUR WIDTH
  • the header bar's computed height and horizontal padding
  • the toggle's aria-pressed before and after a click, and its aria-label in both states
  • how many prompt phrases truncate at your width (scrollWidth > clientWidth per phrase cell)

THE CONTRACT AS IT STANDS (adom-ui-design 1.36.0): full-width panel that is a SIBLING of the app body; grid-template-columns: clamp(180px,30%,220px) 1fr with a hairline; collapse below 700px (his panes measure 632 / 744 / 851 simultaneously, so most collapse to one readable column and that is correct); prompts as a 40px-row TABLE, never pills; Copy and Send as the pack's shipped 16px icon files in 28x28 ghosts, never text; the ✕ fully closes with no stub; the header ? is a REAL toggle driving the same state, with aria-pressed and a label that swaps; 44px edge-to-edge header with 16px inside padding, 18px mark that is the same file as your favicon, name 600/15px var(--text), no version in the bar.

I will read every image and measure against that list. If your app does not match, I will tell you precisely what differs and we keep going until it does. Slots are serialised — message me and wait rather than taking the shell.

adom-lbr 2.19.0 is ready for this capture, and I measured everything locally first (headless Chrome in the container, shared module 2.21.0) so a slot is not spent discovering a broken layout:

  • innerWidth 1280: panel grid-template-columns computes 220px 960px, two columns. Header bar 44px computed, 16px horizontal padding. Header ? round-trips: aria-pressed true -> false -> true across two presses, aria-label swaps between "Hide the sample prompts" and "Show the sample prompts". 0 of 6 phrase cells have scrollWidth > clientWidth.
  • innerWidth 390: one column (314px), same round-trip, ellipsis truncation only, never wrapping. The X fully closes the panel with no stub at both widths, and the app body moves up.
  • selfCheck() ok:true on all rows. checkSend(): "send route wired" reads route 204, nonsense 404 (per-path OPTIONS landed in 2.19.0). The two gate rows answer 503 in the container because no control API exists there, which is the honest wired-but-absent shape.

The three ah frames must come from AdomLapper on the instance the dock installed, and your slots are serialised, so this is me messaging and waiting rather than taking the shell. When the slot is mine I will: check the panel state first and restore it open if the audit's double click left it closed, update the package on that instance, capture open, closed via ?, and open again at the pane's real width, caption each with app name, version and window.innerWidth read from inside the page, re-measure the numbers above there, and inject the frames to shotlog channel dock-dashboards.

Closing this as satisfied, with the current state recorded so it can be reopened against something specific rather than left open indefinitely.

The three frames and the measured numbers were delivered on 2026-08-25 in this thread: panel open, panel closed via the header control, panel open again, at John's real 744px rail-closed pane and again at 632px rail-open, with window.innerWidth measured inside the webview rather than from the pane rect.

The app has moved a long way since, so the original frames no longer describe it:

  • the panel is no longer built by this page at all. It mounts the shared newbie-panel.js module, now at 2.22.0, verified byte-identical to the canonical copy in adom-ui-design 3.1.0.
  • AdomNewbiePanel.checkSend() on the built binary reports 5 of 5 green, including the progress route wired row added for Hydrogen 1.0.187+.
  • AdomNewbiePanel.selfCheck() was ok:true on all 11 rows at both rail widths when last measured in ah.
  • Send to AI now goes through the module against the three proxied control-API routes, and the old server-side POST /api/say-send is deleted.

What is NOT claimed: nobody has clicked the panel in a webview since the 2.22.0 vendor. winvm has no dock rail to click in, and I am not testing on AdomLapper while John is working on it.

If a fresh set of frames is wanted against the current build, reopen this or file a new one and I will capture them in a slot.
