Adom Bridge (macOS)

macOS 1.9.192: new app icon — the Hydrogen mark in a faded teal on the Apple icon grid (squircle + margin + shadow, full-size icns), replacing the full-bleed tile that rendered badly on the desktop and in System Settings' Privacy & Security rows.

Fix: the CLI's kicad command budget was a flat 30 seconds, below the app's own 130 second bridge budget, so a cold kicad_open_board (KiCad takes 35-60 seconds to launch) reported a false timeout while actually succeeding. The CLI now waits 140 seconds so the real timed_out/stillRunning/statusVerb response reaches the caller.

The app is now Adom Bridge.app: bundle display name renamed from Adom Desktop (the bundle identifier is unchanged, so keychain, permissions, and sign-in all carry over). Auto-updates and the install script migrate the installed app name and the launch-at-login agent automatically. Notarized + stapled.

Bridge is now a menu-bar agent: signed-in launches go straight to the menu bar with no window and no Dock icon; the window is summoned from the menu-bar item for settings and approvals. One-line curl install script published on this page. Notarized + stapled.

Shared Adom session: one sign-in serves Bridge and Adom Hydrogen via a shared keychain item; session survives uninstall/reinstall. Notarized + stapled.

macOS 1.9.184: first build of the mac-only fork. Every Windows/WSL code path removed from AD core and the CLI (cfg(windows) items, WSL exec/distro verbs, the Windows registry verbs, the AUMID window-identity and jump-list verbs, the Windows popup-risk shell scanner, mstsc, drive-letter path handling). run_script interpreters are now bash/zsh/sh over stdin. The relay auth payload and status now report os:macOS (previously hardcoded Windows) and HOME/Library-based paths. Single update channel: this adom-desktop-macos page. Notarized + stapled.

macOS: hide AD's Dock icon while embedded under Hydrogen Desktop (returns to Regular and fronts when a window appears, so an approval prompt is never unreachable). Fix the mac auto-update downgrade loop: the updater now reads the adom-desktop-macos manifest instead of the shared page, whose version field tracks the Windows line. Stop bundled Python bridges writing pycache into the signed .app (broke the code signature on first bridge use). Never npm install into the signed bundle. Detect per-user Fusion installs (~/Applications and ~/Library webdeploy), the macOS default.

macOS 1.9.178: interpreter-resolution fixes. A GUI-launched .app inherits a minimal PATH with no /opt/homebrew/bin, so which-only lookups were blind: find_python now falls through to absolute mac dirs (Homebrew arm64/Intel, MacPorts, ~/.local/bin) for python 3.14-3.10, and the unnamed fallbacks (KiCad-bundled python, bare python3 = 3.9) are version-gated to 3.10+ so AD provisions its portable 3.12 instead of pinning an interpreter that cannot parse the bridge handlers. fusion + dynamic bridges now delegate to the single rich resolver. macOS 1.9.177: fresh-install fix — desktop_install_node now performs the AD-managed portable Node fetch on macOS (no more manual brew instruction), and node_not_found auto-kicks the fetch in the background so a plain retry of any browser_* verb succeeds on a fresh Mac. Fusion mac-line seed 1.8.4. Notarized + stapled.

macOS 1.9.176: bundled seeds refreshed (pup 1.9.85 three-way-merge mac-native, fusion 1.8.3 mac-line from its new dedicated page, kicad 0.10.0); BRIDGE_VERSION files now bundled; screencapture resolved by absolute path (fixes desktop_screenshot_window under a PATH-less spawn); per-platform updateManifestUrls map in bridge.json; quiet update relaunches; single-instance positional-args foreground fix. macOS 1.9.175: quiet update relaunches (tray-only, mac parity), foreground attribution logging, startup.log/crash.log moved out of the signed bundle (fixes first-launch codesign seal break), serve --supervise relay watchdog, register_container-primary connect, bundled bridge seeds refreshed (pup 1.9.74 mac-native, fusion 1.7.8, kicad 0.10.0, native-browser 0.1.49).
