Wakefield Thermal 680-125220 TO-220 heatsink
Public Made by Adomby adom
Bolt-on aluminum heatsink with provisional drawing-led geometry and explicit off-board mechanical roles.
Wakefield Thermal 680-125220 heatsink
Black-anodized aluminum bolt-on heatsink for two TO-220 packages, nominally 45.974 mm square and 31.75 mm overall height. Manufacturer catalog mass is 49.9 g. The 4.7752 mm base thickness is a reference dimension, not a guaranteed manufacturing tolerance.
The catalog lists 45 C mounting-surface rise at 7.5 W in natural convection and 1.5 C/W at 400 LFM forced airflow. These are catalog test conditions, not a power rating for an arbitrary enclosed assembly. Fan RPM or free-air CFM does not establish installed airflow through this sink.
Asset limitations
The original Adom drawing-led STEP/GLB is incomplete. Outer dimensions, mounting pitch and hole diameters follow the catalog. Fin thickness, angular placement, corner radii and corner-column shape are inferred. Two semiconductor lead-relief apertures, root fillets and manufacturing tolerances are omitted. The modeled mass is about 54.4 g at an assumed 2700 kg/m3 density, versus 49.9 g in the catalog. Do not use this reconstruction to qualify tab contact area, airflow, fastener engagement or fabrication.
The zero-pin schematic symbol records an off-board BOM item. Its zero-pad footprint is an envelope, not a copper land pattern or PCB drill template. The sink is conductive metal; this symbol does not establish electrical isolation. Select the actual insulator, fasteners, preload and independent support separately, and verify electrical and thermal performance physically.
