IN-S63BTG is the green member of Inolux's IN-S63BT series: a low-profile 0603 top-view indicator LED in a clear, PCB-type moulded package.^p.1 The die is InGaN^p.8 at a dominant wavelength of 527 nm, and at 560 mcd typ it is the brightest part in the series at the 20 mA test point.^p.3

Forward voltage is 3.2 V typ at 20 mA^p.3 — a 3.3 V rail leaves about 0.1 V of headroom, which is no way to set a current, so treat it as a 5 V-rail part: (5 − 3.2) / 0.02 = 90 Ω for the full 20 mA. Use a current-limiting resistor — the datasheet asks for one explicitly^p.13 — and keep continuous current at or below 25 mA.^p.2 At 560 mcd, most status lights will run at a small fraction of the test current.

The 120° viewing angle^p.3 makes it a wide-angle panel indicator, reverse voltage is rated to only 5 V,^p.2 and InGaN chips are static-sensitive devices — ESD precautions apply in design and assembly.^p.2
