100 µF, 25 V polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitor in a radial through-hole 6.3 mm x 11 mm can (2.5 mm lead pitch), from Würth's WCAP-ATUL series. Rated 105 °C with 5000 h load life, 350 mA ripple current at 100 kHz, and 0.25 ohm impedance. The default bulk / reservoir capacitor for power-supply smoothing and local energy storage. Polarized: observe the + and - terminals.
