# SOT-89

The SOT-89 bridges the gap between SOT-23 and SOT-223 packages. At 4.5 x 2.5mm with a collector pad that extends under the body for improved thermal dissipation, it handles up to 1.5W. Three leads with 1.5mm pitch house small voltage regulators, RF transistors, and audio amplifiers. The distinctive feature is the center lead tab that folds under the package body.
