Windows laptops ship set to aggressively sleep and power down to save energy. Those are defaults Microsoft chose long before AI agents ran for hours on your behalf. The moment the screen idles or the lid shuts, the machine sleeps, and anything still working dies with it.
But when you're working with Claude and Adom Hydrogen Desktop, you want the AI to keep chugging: long sessions that finish, /remote-control threads that don't drop while you step away, and, left plugged in, your laptop quietly becoming a vibe-coding server. The Adom model has the AI driving your frontend too, taking screenshots, rendering examples, building shotlogs you can watch from your phone, and none of that happens on a sleeping machine.
That's what this app quietly does from your system tray (the Adom mark by your clock): it keeps the machine awake for those sessions, shows this Wiki billboard as your screensaver (mostly dark screens and content, plus slow drift, to protect against burn-in), then physically turns the display off to save power. And if another app (a screen-share, recording, or media tab) is holding your display on, so the screensaver can't start and the display can't turn off, the tray icon turns into a ⚠ and names what's blocking it, so your display never gets stuck on all night. Right-click that icon any time for these settings.
So we tune a fine balance: plugged in, run indefinitely; on battery, ride through brief lid closings (walk to the next room) but still sleep on a sensible schedule once you've truly stepped away. The screensaver manages these settings so your laptop behaves a little differently than Microsoft expects, on purpose. Here's what we recommend, and what you've got right now:
