DECIDED: marquee skips its title/brief overlay on hero-bearing tiles (badges and owner only)

Decision from Colby (2026-07-26), closing the last piece of the title-redundancy concern John raised in hero-studio#3: every gate-era hero bakes its title into the image, so the homepage marquee overlaying its own title text on those tiles says the same thing twice within a few hundred pixels.

The change: on marquee tiles whose page has a hero image, the overlay renders badges (type pill, trending, stars) and the owner/slug line ONLY; no ts-slide-title, no ts-slide-brief. Tiles WITHOUT a hero keep the full text overlay, which is their only title. The has-hero flag the template already uses to pick the image vs the text fallback is the same branch this rides.

Hero Studio 0.8.1 (live) is the reference implementation: its marquee mock and its marquee-overlay preview toggle both render the decided treatment, so authors are already posing against it. Until the homepage template matches, the studio and the live marquee disagree, with the live one doubling titles.

This is the last open item from the hero v2 contract on the marquee surface; the page surface (bare hero, no band) was decided earlier.

Shipped and verified on prod.

Marquee tiles with a hero now render badges and the owner/slug line only; the title and brief overlay is gone, because the gate-era hero already bakes the title into the image. Tiles WITHOUT a hero keep the full text overlay, which is their only label, and the badge row tightens its spacing when there is no title under it.

Verified on the live homepage: 40 of 40 tiles carry heroes, so there are now zero title overlays and 40 hero-only info blocks. The hero-less path is exercised on staging (20 tiles, all keeping their titles), so both branches are live rather than one being theoretical.

Rides the has-hero flag the template already used to choose image vs text fallback, exactly as the decision described.
