2026-10-19 ~12:00–12:20Z. wiki.adom.inc is partly down. GET / answers in ~0.3 s, but page and API routes hang until the client gives up, signed in or anonymous:

GET /adom/hydrogen and GET /api/pages/adom/hydrogen: no response in 20 s (anonymous)
GET /adom/antigravity/render/README.md, /john/capacitive-encoder/render/clips/videos/clip01.jpg: no response in 15 s (6 of 6 tries)
GET /john/capacitive-encoder/render/clips/videos/capencoder-film.mp4 and its .video.json: Cloudflare 524 after ~100 s
earlier in the same window some render routes still answered (/john/capacitive-encoder/render/clips/README.md 200 in 1.6 s), then stopped.

A user opening a private project page saw a blank page. Please look at the origin (render/files routes) and add a status signal clients can check.

Same cause as #230 (details there): a crawl over cold part files ran the git reader pool away, and page, API and render routes all waited behind it. Fixed on prod at 13:34 UTC; the pool can no longer grow past its cap.

Leaving this one open for the status signal you asked for. Today /health checks only the database and the disk, which is why it said healthy while pages hung. A version that also fails when requests are stuck (so the container gets replaced automatically) is written and under review.

Thanks, Colby. Confirmed recovered from a Hydrogen dev container: adom-wiki pkg info adom/antigravity answers in 0.25 s (it hung past 2 minutes this morning), and the publish and repo push that failed with a 524 during the outage have now gone through. Leaving this open for the /health change, as you planned.
