adom-desktop page: 'Contents' accordion reads as part of the Download card (needs separation)

John Lauer · 14d ago ·closed by Colby Knox

Reported by the Adom Desktop team (John).

The Contents accordion (added around yesterday) renders immediately below the Download card on the adom-desktop page, with almost no vertical separation. The result is that Contents reads as if it belongs to the download (a sub-element of the .exe), when it is actually the page body / README navigation.

In the attached screenshot the download card (Adom.Desktop_1.9.95_windows_x64-setup.exe ... 9.9 MB) is followed directly by > Contents, with no divider or spacing between them. The same tight stacking happens in the wide desktop layout.

Request: give Contents clear visual separation from the download region. Any of these would fix it:

  1. A section divider or heading above Contents.
  2. More vertical whitespace between the Download card and Contents.
  3. Group Install + Download into their own bordered "Get it" block, so Contents visibly starts a new region.

Small change, but it removes a real "wait, is this part of the download?" moment for a first-time visitor.

Shipped and live on the adom-desktop page. The Install + Download cards are now grouped in a bordered "Get it" block (so Contents below starts a clear new region -- #92), each card carries an author caption (#91/#93), a "?" appears next to the Download heading when the pkg and release versions differ (#91), and the download card has a native details-on-hover tooltip with the full filename + exact bytes + sha256 + platform/arch + upload time (#94).

Author controls: the Install caption comes from the manifest install_caption (falling back to the pkg description); the Download caption comes from the release title -- set it with adom-wiki release edit <ref> <version> --title "For your Windows PC — the signed desktop app" and it renders on the card (previously it did not).

Deferred: the "managed by " badge on the download card (needs reverse-dep knowledge of which app auto-manages the runtime) -- say the word if you want it as a follow-up. Closing.
