28 Oct 2026Claude, at Caleb Taylor's requestValidated against the G-Switch GT-USB-7090C drawing (REV. X1, 2022.08.12); footprint and 3D rebuilt to the standardfiles match
SymbolFootprint3D modelPinsfor all variants
  • ✓Datasheet: G-Switch drawing GT-USB-7090C, REV. X1, design date 2022.08.12, 1 page, downloaded 2026-10-27 from https://www.dg-switch.com/uploads/soft/230131/GT-USB-7090C.pdf (linked from https://www.dg-switch.com/lishitype/3545.html), sha256 e9c0f0b1ed179af5..., unchanged since the validation phase; the PDF is vector art with no text, so the attached copy adds an OCR text layer (ocrmypdf, images and vectors unchanged); replaces the JLCPCB/LCSC copy
  • ✓Pins: 14 contact numbers and names against the drawing's pin table (p.1): A1 GND, A4 VBUS, A5 CC1, A6 D+, A7 D-, A9 VBUS, A12 GND, B12 GND, B9 VBUS, B7 D-, B6 D+, B5 CC2, B4 VBUS, B1 GND; all match the page; no renames
  • ✓Pin types: all 15 set to passive (connector contacts); A5/A6/A7/B5/B6/B7 were bidirectional
  • •Shell: the pin table gives it no signal name; the page keeps SH / SHELL (material table item 外壳, shell)
  • ✓Descriptions rewritten from the drawing (pin table and recommended layout, p.1); old text claimed 1.25 A VCONN and per-pin current that the drawing does not state
  • ✓BOM: control-panel_scaffold_v2.1.0 J1 'GT-USB-7090C, USB-C_GSwitch_GT-USB-7090C_14P_Vertical, C3019716' names this exact part
  • ✓Footprint rebuilt: the page's 14 signal pads were 0.32 x 1.00 mm stacked at 1.00 mm pitch (neighbours touching, 12 pairs). The board footprint sits at 90 deg with signal pads written without an angle (absolute 0), so relative angle -90: pads are 1.00 (x, across the columns) x 0.32 (y), as the G-Switch recommended P.C.B. layout shows (pad 1.00 x 0.32, pitch 1.00). Centres unchanged: A column x +0.95, A1 y -2.84 .. A12 y +3.16; B column x -0.95, B12 y -3.16 .. B1 y +2.84 (B row 0.32 above A, as drawn); no pads touch now
  • ✓Shell slots: drill 0.60 x 1.10 (layout 0.60 x 1.10), centres moved from x +/-2.33 to +/-2.32 to match the layout's 4.64 (board 4.66, inside the layout's +/-0.05), y +/-2.37 (part 4.74 +/-0.10); NPTH dia 0.70 at y +/-4.00 (layout 8.00, dia 0.70)
  • •Column centre spacing 1.90 is not dimensioned on the layout; measured 1.91 mm off the drawing at 102 px/mm (pad width 1.00 = 102 px); kept the board's +/-0.95
  • ✓F.Fab body outline set to 4.96 x 9.00 (section 1-1, front view); courtyard +/-3.12 x +/-4.75; pin-1 silk mark at A1 corner unchanged
  • ✓3D: Adom-built (tier 3) with cadquery from the drawing: 4.96 x 9.00 x 11.80 mm, shell top 10.50 above the seat, legs 1.30 and posts 1.00 below, shell 8.94 x 3.16 with 8.34 x 2.56 opening; all inside the drawing tolerances; G-Switch publishes no 3D model and KiCad has none for this part; builder provenance/tools/gt_usb_7090c_build.py, record provenance/3d-model.json
  • ✓3D pose (step_pose, plain and eda): Z-up, through-hole legs below z = 0 (zmin -1.30), centre offset 0.000 mm from the pad-pattern centre, footprint model binding identity, path ${KIPRJMOD}/gt-usb-7090c.step
  • ✓Distributors: DigiKey (GT-USB-7090C, GT-USB-7090) and Mouser (GT-USB-7090C) do not carry the part, searched 2026-10-27; LCSC C3019716 kept (board BOM)
  • •Drawing typo: 'Contact Resistance: 40 Megohms Max' (evidently milliohms); not used on the page
  • •Shell pins: the drawing's pin table has no shell entry and names it only in the material table (外壳, shell), so the pin takes its pad number SH as its name (the standard's fallback when a pin has no printed name)
  • ✓Symbol Datasheet / MPN / Manufacturer / DigiKey / Mouser / LCSC properties agree with page.json; footprint Datasheet property points at the manufacturer datasheet URL
  • •component-page-verify: no FAIL; one WARN (datasheet): SH/SHELL is not in the drawing text because the pin table gives the shell no name

  • •Datasheet text layer: the manufacturer drawing is a scanned image; the attached PDF is the same pages with an OCR text layer added (ocrmypdf/tesseract) so pin names can be checked against it.

  • ✓Footprint extracted pad-for-pad from the source board and normalized to the footprint frame (back-side parts un-mirrored)
  • ✓3D model seated z=0 at footprint origin (placement inverse; method centroid-matched to KiCad library models on 59 cases)
  • ✓adom-lbr generate + lint passed
  • ✓15 of 15 pins described from the datasheet (adom-ds2sf, page-cited)
  • •Not yet checked by a person: land pattern vs datasheet, pin-1/orientation, 3D body vs drawing
