Early fixtures establish native trace control, later examples introduce obstacle search and a real board, and the latest objective is to retain copper for subtractive ablation. The recordings show actual Fusion windows; playback speed, precomputed planning and edited takes are disclosed.++[Back to Codex](../README.md) ยท [KiCad progression](ASTRA-KICAD.md)++The BQ25792 comparison disables one inherited all-object same-net spacing rule on diagnostic copies because it conflicts with intended same-net connections. Other clearance rules remain enabled and the source is preserved. Native DRC verifies the encoded rules; it does not certify power, thermal, signal-integrity or insulation safety.++## 1. First native traces++The first experiment establishes direct trace-by-trace control in Fusion. Six nets and thirteen pads are connected with twenty-one stored segments and two vias; native Autodesk checks report zero errors, warnings and airwires. This version preserves the original recording timing.++++[Download this video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/01-simple-live.mp4)++## 2. Explaining the first result++The same simple fixture becomes a captioned demonstration at three times speed. It explains explicit waypoints and the Fusion bridge calls, making the relationship between calculated geometry and native copper visible.++++[Download this video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/02-simple-captioned-3x.mp4)++## 3. A 24-net crossover++The next fixture adds a permutation, branching connections and layer changes: 24 nets, 72 pads, 120 segments and 48 vias. Native Autodesk DRC reports zero errors, warnings and airwires. This is a constructed routing problem, not a claim of general autorouting.++++[Download this video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/03-crossbar-24-3x.mp4)++## 4. Routing around obstacles++A bounded path planner now chooses detours around existing copper and can change layers with vias. Three pad pairs finish connected, with ten total segments including two original barriers, two vias, and clean native checks. The live Adom palette shows calculations and verification.++++[Download this video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/04-obstacles-3x.mp4)++## 5. Reading the obstacle calculations++This normal-speed companion gives viewers more time to follow the live calculation panel. It shows the same accepted obstacle-routing result; it is an alternate edit, not a separate benchmark.++++[Download this video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/05-obstacles-1x.mp4)++## 6. Rerouting a real Adonis board++The BQ25792 charger increases the challenge to 109 components and 50 nets on four layers. The video tours the hand-routed reference, removes copper from an isolated copy, and shows independently calculated replacement routes being created in Fusion. The trace-only result has 612 segments, 60 vias, zero airwires, zero warnings and no new DRC errors under the disclosed comparison profile; one pre-existing placement error remains.++++[Download this video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/06-bq25792-3x.mp4)++## 7. The real-board run at normal speed++The normal-speed edit makes individual routes and status updates easier to inspect. Geometry was planned before recording; the demonstration uses verified takes with waits removed. Power, thermal and sensitive electrical constraints still require engineering review.++++[Download this video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/07-bq25792-1x.mp4)++## 8. Narrating the engineering process++An AI-generated Andrew Neural narration explains the original design, independent planning, layer crossings, native readback and final checks. Speech is synchronized to the action and normalized for consistent listening levels. This remains the trace-only result, before the copper-ablation objective was added.++++[Download this video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/08-bq25792-narrated.mp4)++## 9. Retaining copper for subtractive ablation++The next version keeps the original-board tour and independent rerouting, then adds real Fusion pours on all four copper layers. It compares orphan retention off and on: physically disconnected copper can remain because the user explicitly requested less copper removal. The final native board retains 612 trace segments and 60 vias, with four pours, zero airwires, zero warnings and the same single inherited DRC error.++Estimated coverage is 76%, 89%, 84% and 82% on layers 1, 2, 15 and 16 respectively: about 83% overall, and about 83% less projected area to remove than the trace-only checkpoint, excluding drill voids. These estimates union native fill contours with modeled pads, tracks and vias; they are neither a globally optimal solution nor a measured reduction in laser time. The new layer views use edited native recordings, 3x action and labeled inspection holds; explanatory captions are added in editing.++The 0.1 mm channel width is the user's manufacturing capability, not an electrical safety rating. Larger encoded clearances remain; voltage, transient peaks, creepage, environment and floating-copper keepouts require their own review. See [TI's clearance and creepage guidance](https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/slup421/slup421.pdf). The board remains a routing and copper-retention demonstration, with power, thermal and insulation qualification outstanding.++++[Download the copper-retention video](https://wiki.adom.inc/api/pages/adom/codex/files/videos/fusion/09-bq25792-copper-retention-narrated.mp4)++## The Adom Bridge calls behind the videos++Astra calculates geometry; Adom Bridge makes it happen in the native editor and returns evidence of what Fusion actually created. That combination is what makes the progression possible: the same automation connection can inspect a board, place copper, run Autodesk checks, record the application and deliver the finished video. These are real CAD objects and native window captures.++| Stage | Calls and native operations used | What they contribute |+| --- | --- | --- |+| Discover the live interface | `fusion_describe` | Discover the running bridge's contracts rather than assuming a version or capability. |+| Open an isolated example | `fusion_open_board` | Open the preserved-copy workflow in Fusion's PCB editor. |+| Read geometry and guard edits | `fusion_routing_state` | Export pads, net membership, traces, vias and airwires; obtain `boardId` and `revision`. Mutations carry `expectDocument` and `expectedRevision`. |+| Simple traces and crossover | `fusion_route_net` with `dryRun:true`, then the accepted path | Preflight explicit coordinates, create native copper, and verify its readback. Layer transitions create vias. |+| Obstacle example | `fusion_plan_route`, then `fusion_route_net` | Search bounded geometry for a detour, display the calculated path, and commit the accepted copper. This is not a general-purpose production autorouter. |+| Four-layer BQ replay | `fusion_run_modeling_script` | Execute the guarded, independently calculated BQ replay on Fusion's main thread. It issues native `Electron.run` commands such as `LINE`, `VIA`, layer selection and `RATSNEST`, then checks exported geometry between batches. |+| Native validation | `fusion_routing_drc` / its embedded handler | Recompute connectivity and read Autodesk DRC error objects. Report unchanged baseline errors separately; never equate command acceptance with a clean board. |+| Copper retention | `fusion_run_modeling_script` carrying `Electron.run` | Issue `POLYGON`, `CHANGE ISOLATE`, `CHANGE THERMALS`, `CHANGE ORPHANS`, `CHANGE RANK` and `RATSNEST`. These are native Fusion electronics commands, not invented standalone Bridge verbs. |+| Navigate and repaint | `fusion_execute_text_command`; `Electron.run DISPLAY` / `WINDOW`; `Electron.ImmediateRepaint` | Show selected layers, inspect close-ups and display newly created copper. |+| Capture the evidence | Adom desktop verbs `desktop_record_window_start` / `desktop_record_window_stop` | Record the selected Fusion HWND. These belong to the desktop bridge, not the Fusion geometry API. |+| Move and show artifacts | `pull_file`, `send_files`, host `run_script`, `desktop_list_windows` and UIA inspection | Bring footage to the container, send the edited MP4 to Windows, open the actual file and verify its player. |++The routing verbs were developed on `adom/fusion-bridge` branch `feature/per-net-trace-routing`; discover availability before calling them. Development probes and the later BQ capture can execute the same embedded Python handlers through `fusion_run_modeling_script` while preserving the user's pinned bridge. Shipping a skill does not silently replace an installed bridge or promote development verbs into every release.++Earlier recordings use the existing Adom activity palette for public calculation summaries, route progress and checks. The copper-pour capture uses the actual Fusion canvas with post-production explanatory captions; it does not claim a live calculation panel in that take. The recording recipe preserves raw footage and removes waits and transient blank editor frames in the edit.++## How this becomes a reusable Adom capability++This work is packaged as instructions and reproducible workflow knowledge, not just a collection of videos. The `adom/codex` package tarball includes the following skills under `skills/`, alongside this guide and the media:++| Bundled skill | Knowledge available to the next user |+| --- | --- |+| `codex-adom` | Discover the environment, select the correct desktop and route tasks to the relevant skills. |+| `codex-adom-bridge-workflows` | Discover verbs, preserve pinned bridges, use background control and interpret native results. |+| `codex-adom-operation-results` | Handle timeouts, queued work and approval gates without unsafe duplicate mutations. |+| `codex-adom-electrical-routing` | Establish load, stackup and electrical constraints before declaring a board ready. |+| `codex-adom-ablation-routing` | Retain actual filled copper, handle explicitly permitted floating islands, distinguish process isolation from electrical clearance, and measure area honestly. |+| `codex-adom-routing-video` | Record real CAD windows, preserve action, trim waits, caption measured results and create natural-paced narration through Adom TTS. |+| `codex-adom-desktop-artifacts` | Deliver and open the video on the user's desktop, then verify the requested file is in the player. |+| `codex-adom-skill-distribution` | Publish the installable tarball and verify installed skills rather than stopping at a source-only wiki update. |++Install or update with:++```sh+adom-wiki pkg install adom/codex+```++The installer copies bundled skills into the effective Codex home and maintains an Adom entry point in `AGENTS.md`, preserving instructions outside its managed block. A fresh Codex session can then discover these workflows automatically. Existing running threads must explicitly read newly installed skills or restart their session to load the updated catalog. Users receive the capability when they install or update the package; publication alone does not update every machine or teach a model new weights.++The package supplies the playbook; a connected desktop, Fusion installation, supported bridge capabilities and applicable fabrication requirements are still needed. The BQ geometry is a worked example, not a universal board template. Read the bundled ablation reference and adapt its constraints before making another board.
