27 Oct 2026Claude, at Caleb Taylor's requestValidated against Alpha & Omega's AON6403 datasheet (Rev 2.1, September 2023) and AOS package outline DFN5x6_8L_EP1_P (PO-00044 version I); 3D model rebuilt to the package outlinefiles match
SymbolFootprint3D modelPinsfor all variants
  • ✓Datasheet: replaced the LCSC copy (2010 file) with AOS's current edition, Rev 2.1 September 2023, linked from the AON6403 product page (Full Production, package DFN5x6_8L_EP1_P)
  • ✓All 8 pins match the DFN5X6 top-view pinout (p.1): 1-3 S, 4 G, 5-8 D. No renames needed
  • ✓Pin types: gate input, source and drain passive (discrete MOSFET convention); unchanged
  • ✓Descriptions rewritten from the p.1 pinout and absolute maximum ratings (VDS -30 V, VGS ±20 V) and the p.2 VGS(th) row
  • ✓Footprint vs AOS DFN5x6_8L_EP1_P recommended land pattern (PO-00044 I): pads 1-4 0.50 x 0.65 mm on 1.27 mm pitch, drain fingers 0.50 x 0.55 mm joined to a 4.60 x 4.12 mm drain pad (numbered 8), 6.15 mm overall, all as drawn; pin 1 bottom-left with pins 1-4 along the bottom edge, as in AOS's top view (numbering counter-clockwise)
  • ✓DigiKey 785-1339-2-ND confirmed as AON6403 by Alpha & Omega (DigiKey lifecycle 'Not For New Designs'; AOS lists Full Production); Mouser returned no Alpha & Omega listing (searched 2026-10-09 and 2026-10-27): set to not carried
  • ✓3D source: tier 1 none (aosmd.com product pages are rendered client-side from a CMS API that redirects to a login; the public res/ folders hold datasheets, package outlines and marking PDFs; a web search found no AOS STEP. No manufacturer STEP retrievable (2026-10-27).) Tier 2 rejected (KiCad AO_DFN-8-1EP_5.55x5.2mm_P1.27mm_EP4.12x4.6mm.step (the AOS-specific library model): body 5.525 x 5.175 x 0.96 but its terminals end 0.0125 mm past the body (tip span 5.55 vs E1 5.95-6.15) and its rows run along the other axis; DFN-8-1EP_6x5mm_P1.27mm_EP4x4mm.step (the old page model): 4.98 along the rows vs D 5.10-5.30. Both out of tolerance.) Tier 3: model rebuilt with the KiCad 3D model generator (gitlab.com/kicad/libraries/kicad-packages3D-generator, commit e272fcc8) from AOS DFN5x6_8L_EP1_P package outline PO-00044 version I, dimension table and top/bottom views (1 page); parameters in provenance/3d-generator-params.yaml; Adom-authored, CC-BY-SA-4.0
  • ✓3D body vs drawing: body 5.20 (along the terminal rows) x 5.55 mm: D 5.10-5.30, E 5.45-5.65: pass; terminal tips at y = +/-3.025 (span 6.05): E1 5.95-6.15: pass; overall height 0.95 mm (etched 0.955), standoff 0.025, terminal thickness 0.20: A 0.85-1.00, A1 0.00-0.05, c 0.15-0.25: pass; source/gate terminals 0.40 x 0.55 (tip to inner end) on 1.27 pitch: b 0.30-0.50, L 0.45-0.65, e 1.27: pass; exposed drain pad 4.35 x 3.625 mm, source-side edge 1.275 mm from the centre line, drain terminals 0.675 mm from the pad to the tips: D1 4.25-4.45, E2 3.525-3.725, E3 1.175-1.375, L2 0.68 REF: pass; pins 1-4 along -y (3D) = the footprint's bottom row (KiCad y +2.765), pin 1 at x -1.905; pad and drain fingers toward +y = footprint pads 5-8 and the drain pad; pin-1 circle on top at (-1.85, -2.025) mm, bottom-left as in AOS's top view: pass; not modelled: the R0.4 REF body corner radius and the pad tie-bar stubs on the body sides (cosmetic)
  • ✓3D pose: aon6403.step and aon6403-etched.step are Z-up, seated on z = 0, centred on the footprint origin (offset 0.0 mm), footprint (model) binding identity (step_pose.py); the source was built in the footprint frame, so the transform is identity; the etched file adds the adom-chip-laser MPN inlay on the top face; GLBs from step2glb convert; footprint (model) path now ${KIPRJMOD}/aon6403.step with only that line changed (pads untouched); provenance/3d-model.json records source, terms, hashes, transform and checks
  • ✓Symbol Datasheet / MPN / Manufacturer / DigiKey / Mouser / LCSC properties agree with page.json; footprint Datasheet property points at the manufacturer datasheet URL
  • ✓component-page-verify: all checks pass

SymbolFootprint3D modelPinsfor all variants
  • ✓Footprint extracted pad-for-pad from the source board and normalized to the footprint frame (back-side parts un-mirrored)
  • ✓3D model seated z=0 at footprint origin (placement inverse; method centroid-matched to KiCad library models on 59 cases)
  • ✓adom-lbr generate + lint passed
  • ✓8 of 8 pins described from the datasheet (adom-ds2sf, page-cited)
  • •Not yet checked by a person: land pattern vs datasheet, pin-1/orientation, 3D body vs drawing
