Usage widget icon cut off: keep the mark's viewBox (fixed in 0.2.4)

John Lauer · 4d ago

The usage widget's arch was cut off in the Hydrogen title bar twice (2026-10-17 and 2026-10-18): the path in bin/hydrogen-widget-marks.py is drawn on a 24-unit grid, and bin/hydrogen-widget-lib.py wrapped every mark in viewBox="0 0 16 16".

Fixed in 0.2.4 (published, and pushed to this page's repo):

  • each mark now carries its own grid: "viewBox": "0 0 24 24" on the antigravity mark
  • the library draws a mark with mark.get('viewBox', '0 0 16 16')

The first fix (0.2.2, a scale(0.6667) wrapper) was lost when a later commit brought back an older copy of hydrogen-widget-marks.py. Please keep the viewBox entry whenever that file is edited or copied (both files now say so in a comment).

Related, in Hydrogen (next build): open widgets now update themselves. Hydrogen checks adom-wiki pkg outdated three minutes after start and every six hours, installs a newer version of an open widget's package and restarts that widget, so a fix here reaches everyone without a Hydrogen release.
