  • ✓Datasheet: SD-87833-0001 rev A15, approved 2026-06-10, 9 sheets; the page copy is byte-identical to a fresh molex.com download (2026-10-27, sha256 b16955b4...).
  • ✓BOM: J11 on NTX_CCX-MIO_Carrier_v1.1 carry the Molex part number of this page (BOM, schematic and board value): the page is the intended part. DigiKey and Molex list it as through hole, right angle.
  • ✓Footprint rebuilt from SD-87833-0001 sheet 4 RECOMMENDED PCB LAYOUT: 8 holes 0.90 (0.90 +-0.05) on a 2.00 x 2.00 grid, pads 1.40; CKT #1 at the origin, CKT #2 on the mating-face side (+X), positions along +Y; overlay on the layout coincides (provenance/evidence/overlay_sheet4_pcb_layout.png).
  • ✓Pin 1: in the mating-face view (tails up, so the board is at the top) CKT #1 is the lower-left cavity and CKT #2 the one above it; section Y-Y puts the lower row (nearer the board) on the short 1.70 tail, so CKT #1 is the outer row; the layout (component side, mating face up) shows CKT #1 bottom-left, which only fits that reading. The circuit-identification V on the housing top is at the CKT #1 end in the model.
  • ✓3D: Molex's own STEP 878330832.stp for 87833-0832 (STEP AP214 (AUTOMOTIVE_DESIGN), Siemens NX 1919 export 2024-09-04, one fused solid, one 'Medium Steel' colour), from the 3D CAD model link on the Molex product page (https://www.molex.com/content/dam/molex/molex-dot-com/products/automated/en-us/3dcadmodels/878/87833/878330832_stp.zip, retrieved 2026-10-27; zip sha256 c370ecc9e9b9, STEP sha256 435efce6f0f1); original bytes kept as vendor/0878330832-molex-original.step.
  • ✓Posed by rotation and translation only (provenance/tools/pose_vendor.py): new X, Y, Z = Molex axes [[0, 0, 1], [-1, 0, 0], [0, -1, 0]], then translate [2.0, -3.0, 3.1509] mm; seat (lowest housing level, found by bisection) on z = 0, mating face toward +X; all 8 tails land on their drilled pads (max offset 0.000 mm); footprint binding identity.
  • ✓Molex model against SD-87833-0001 rev A15 (provenance/tools/measure_vendor.py, provenance/drawing_check.json): A outer width 10.65 (drawing 10.65); height 6.30 6.301 (drawing 6.3); G solder tail 2.16 2.159 (drawing 2.16); face to CKT#1 tail rear edge (8.65) 8.65 (drawing 8.65); cavity height 5.00 5.0 (drawing 5.0); D cavity width 8.85 (drawing 8.85); face to cavity floor (3.90) 3.9 (drawing 3.9); rear block to CKT#2 tail 1.70 (6.40 - 4.70) 2.0 (drawing 2.0): all within the drawing tolerances.
  • ✓The posed Molex model, overlaid on the drawing views at the drawing scale, coincides with the outline, pins and tails (provenance/evidence/overlay_sheet4_mating_face_view.png, provenance/evidence/overlay_sheet4_section_YY.png, provenance/evidence/overlay_sheet4_top_view.png, provenance/evidence/overlay_sheet4_pcb_layout.png).
  • ✓Pin 1 features in the posed model: the circuit-identification V on the top is at the pad 1 end, the side slot at h 3.0-4.3 is in the pad 1 end wall and the one at h 2.0-3.3 in the far end wall, as drawn.
  • •Colour: Molex's one colour ('Medium Steel', on the whole solid) kept.
  • ✓MPN etch: adom-chip-laser 0.2.0 on the housing top (1.558 mm font, separate Adom.LaserEtch part).
  • ✓step_pose.py: plain and etched STEP PASS (Z-up, seat on z = 0, tails below, identity binding; body off the pad-pattern centre by design, right-angle overhang, courtyard centred on the body).
  • •Symbol Footprint property changed from Connector_PinSocket_2.00mm:PinSocket_2x04_P2.00mm_Vertical to 0878330832:0878330832 (the page footprint).
  • ✓Distributors: DigiKey WM14820-ND (Molex 0878330832, CONN HEADER R/A, confirmed by search 2026-10-27); Mouser lists the part with Mouser No. N/A (not sold) -> false with a note.
  • •Boards affected: NTX_CCX-MIO_Carrier_v1.1 J11 use the generic vertical KiCad footprint; see the result file for the per-reference differences. The boards are Caleb's to change.
  • ✓Symbol Datasheet / MPN / Manufacturer / DigiKey / Mouser / LCSC properties agree with page.json; footprint Datasheet property points at the manufacturer datasheet URL
  • ✓component-page-verify: all checks pass

  • •Board uses a generic KiCad pin-header/socket footprint and model, not the Molex part-specific land pattern. Footprint and 3D need checking against the Molex sales drawing.

  • ✓Footprint extracted pad-for-pad from the source board and normalized to the footprint frame (back-side parts un-mirrored)
  • ✓3D model seated z=0 at footprint origin (placement inverse; method centroid-matched to KiCad library models on 59 cases)
  • ✓adom-lbr generate + lint passed
  • ✓8 of 8 pins described
  • •Not yet checked by a person: land pattern vs datasheet, pin-1/orientation, 3D body vs drawing
